As a team Real Madrid are finished. A team full of ageing players seeing out their careers and contracts.
And Real Madrid are f*cked financially.
Realistically they are likely to improve financially and will be strong again for many players the possibility of rebuilding a great club to former glories with a massive fan base is probably attractive.

They are still so reliant on Benzema, Madrid and Ramos who are well into their 30s
Kroos, Hazard, Marcelo, Nacho, Marcelo already 30
Casemiro, Vasquez, Carvahal 29
Varane doesn't want to renew so would probably have to sell him for cheap
The core of their team will need replacing in the next 2/3 years and they just don't have the money to do that...especially if they are dropping ,£100mil on just one player.....

It’s funny because the RM president said they would need to do something about their attack because it’s a bunch of children, when in fact their main issue is quite the opposite

The Chelsea/Haaland links stopped awhile back and I’m not sure they were very reliable. I do think it means something... hehe

Lukaku does seem happy at Inter to be fair. He’s always struck me as a player with a grudge and given Chelsea got rid of him, I’m not sure he’d go back but that’s just an opinion. Like KDB.
I’m sure he’ll have had plenty of chances to go back in the past since leaving too but hasn’t.

He’s the self-appointed new king of Milan haha. I think he’s better off staying there (and I say this as someone who has gotten crap here for saying he would be my number two striker of choice after Haaland, ahead of Kane), but we’re talking about a UCL finalist in Chelsea that is very likely going to be even stronger next season. Could be very seductive for him
You can get that in China, The Emirates, Paris or America. Top players want to be in the most competitive teams. Looking at Madrid they look miles behind. They were lucky to get as far as they did, they could have been knocked out in the groups.
you can’t get that in China anymore!

Edit: it looks like you get paid for 'qualifying' for the Super Cup (CL winners vs EL winners) as well as for finishing 2nd (in a 2 club competition...) with more on offer for winning it. And then there's the FIFA Club World Cup. I've lost count of how much winning the CL can bring in :(
