Return of Supporters

If as looks likely, Everton go into the last match with absolutely nothing to play for, their fans should do the right thing and insist their club returns the tickets to city to be given to city fans

I know if the tables were reversed I would 100% give mine up
There will be lots of Evertonians who haven’t missed a game for decades and who have every right to get a ticket for this game.

All about who does the test as to whether the up your nose test is truly nasopharyngeal and the throat test is truly at the back.
Let’s just say when I did home lateral flow test myself it was much more comfortable than when the nurse at the hospital did it properly for both lateral flow and PCR.
One of reasons lateral flow tests perform poorly I believe.
No, Covid tests aren’t particularly reliable because of a quite complex mathematical theorem.

Those theories apply to every test you have, blood tests, smears whatever. All about the test kit telling you the correct answer which varies for different tests PCR >LF, however what’s on the end of the swab, ie the swab been put in the right place, is crucial.
Hopefully they’ll be a test which doesn’t involve a swab down the throat or up the nose. Saliva or breathalyser type would be much more pleasant.
Back to footy, come on blue boys, win it this weekend

For those interested ( me and and my lad couldnt get on the coach for Wembley last Sunday due to 1 LFT not being sent to us) I have written to a contact at the club kindly supplied by 1894 Group.

Have to say City did not seem that interested, probably not their remit.

However I have today received a message from a friend ( Blades fan ) who knows someone high up in the governments testing process. Hes asked for details to take up on my behalf.

It may not matter but if we have to provide LFTs for any future games I want to be sure I have done everything I can to make who ever puts the next policy together consider a " what if" scenario.Brief outline sent to my mate, probably futile but got to give it a go:

Lateral Flow Tests =LC Final

I am currently in the process of obtaining a refund for match tickets and coach travel as our LFT results taken at Rates Hall Manchester Sat 4.30pm did not come through. This meant my son and I could not get on the coach Sunday morning to watch Man City at Wembley.

As regards the LFT they have still not come through as of today. We rang 119 Sat and Sun and although everyone was very helpful we got nowhere.

There seemed to be no contingency made for fans not receiving LFTs despite the departure point of the coaches being next to a vaccination centre.

Although I was a bit miffed missing the game (my sons birthday present) I am more concerned that no one seems to be interested in my experience and learning from it (test event) to prevent someone else experiencing the same thing.

Raab saying there will need to be safeguards in place after the 21st June possibly around distancing and masks which doesn’t sound great for full football stadiums.

I think though they should only be in place until everyone is offered a vaccine (at least one jab) which would be a few weeks after that. No reason to think it won’t be full stadiums from next season onwards

Official Premier League Statement

Final two Matchweeks of 2020/21 will be limited to home fans, subject to the easing of lockdown restrictions

The Premier League has today confirmed that the final two Matchweeks of the 2020/21 season will be limited to home fans, subject to the Government easing lockdown restrictions in the United Kingdom.

Supporters are expected to be able to return to stadiums from 17 May in a reduced capacity, pending the final Government decision on planned Step 3 conditions, which will be announced no later than 10 May.

The Premier League last week confirmed fixtures have been rescheduled to provide an opportunity for each club to host one home match with supporters before the end of the season.

Matchweek 37 will now be played on 18-19 May, with the final matches of the season kicking off at 16:00 BST on Sunday 23 May as planned.

Following consultation with clubs, it was agreed matches would not be open to away supporters due to varying operational challenges across the League and the need to deliver a consistent approach, while maximising the opportunity for home-fan attendance.

The safety and security of supporters is of paramount importance. Clubs have a proven track record of providing COVID-safe environments and have operational plans in place ready to safely welcome supporters back to their stadiums.

Fans have been greatly missed at Premier League matches and this marks a key step towards full stadiums, including away fans, from the start of the 2021/22 season.

Glad they've seen sense and won't let away fans in, should be a great atmosphere even if it is only 10,000 fans

EFL are looking at up to 25% of seated capacity only for play-off semis.

Morecambe will be rippin' as it is mainly standing and under 550 allowed.

I am just reading this on FB.... can this be right? It says it is coming from and I quote "that ridiculous fans group that was formed a couple of years ago". View attachment 16174
I can’t see anything on official site, I’m guessing this was from the autumn when plans were in place for 2k a game before the winter lockdown hit
