Happy for him to rest a load today in a game that won't matter after an intense midweek game. Why risk it? De bruyne had ice on his knee the other day. And even so we probably should have won, but we didn't, and so what? No qualms from me

Now if he plays that team in the European Cup final... (haha)

Pep has put huge pressure on himself, he either wins the European Cup or Tuchel has beaten him 3 times in a month.

Now with this fuckin government intervening in footballing matters, Wembley may now be the host venue, and for some strange reason I don’t fancy our chances. City should argue this favours Chelsea and ask for a more neutral venue, either way what a shit day to round off the weekend

It's the way the human brain works. In bad times the adrenaline starts pumping and we get alert and excited in order to improve odds of survival. In good times we relax and save energy. ;)
Bang on.

People are quick to criticise as anger and frustration kicks in,and slow to praise as contentment doesn't necessitate or demand the same response.

Alcohol won't help,with many,either!

Pep has done wonders this season. Hope we win a treble.

Think Pep was right to give a chance to the squad players to contribute more to this great season. We wouldn't be in this fantastic position without them, especially without the likes of Cancelo, Laporte, Jesus and Sterling, Torres as well. At the same time, Pep went over the top by playing a formation with a make-shift midfield, which didn't really help the squad players to show their best. That experimental formation was due to Pep's desire to include all of Ake, Mendy, Torres and Aguero. To play with just one proper midfielder against a CL finalist was disrespectful both to the opposition and to our own players. The same holds for Aguero's penalty who double downed on the piss taking.

One can learn more from losses than from wins. Pep wouldn't be a great manager if he didn't try strange formations and tactics. Not being afraid of failure is key to success. Both he and Aguero made mistakes yesterday. Fortunately, they weren't decisive in the context of the season. Maybe United weren't going to win over 80 pts anyway and the title was already won.

I can understand everything, but was angry when saw his reaction after the game was lost..

If you want to win and are such nervous about it - play your best team and system FFS..
Otherwise stay calm and admit that this game from the beginning was meant to be lost

You are playing with Mendy, only 1 midfielder, 4 out of form attackers, formation which you haven't used for your entire career until today - against a CL finalist and still want to win ? There is exact correlation between Aguero`s penalty and Pep`s decisions for that game -> simple as that. At least Aguero understood it and apologized..

Careful talking sense will drop you in it.

Well we're not exactly storming to it.
Wonder would he have put out that starting 11 if the ground was full. Not everyone thinks Pep is beyond criticism.
Nip back and look at the Lge table standings late 2020. We have quite literally stormed the Lge leaving teams that were at some point ‘storming away’ in our wake (Pool, Spuds and Scum).

Nobody should be beyond constructive criticism but a sense of perspective seems to have been lost. You may be right with your empty ground point but the fact is, grounds are empty. In another strange and ridiculously challenging season we will prevail. It will be a brilliant achievement playing what is effectively a new system for us.

We have three more chances to win the Lge even if Scum win all their fixtures which is highly unlikely. I don’t get the ‘we must win it early at all costs’ narrative. What does it matter if we win the Lge by goal difference, one point or 20 points. We may disagree but I like the fact that the players minds will be focused on the Lge for a little while longer.

We are going to win it with ease. Pep deserves critism when it's warranted. I don't class yesterday as one of those occasions but unlike your good self I tend to have a sunnier disposition when it come to City.

Why would Wembley favour Chelsea?!

Yes and I have no problem with that. I see things differently though. We might well be champions before we play again. Still I'd have got a bigger thrill to do it ourselves with a dissection of the team who beat us in the FA cup semi and face again in the champions League final.

They have already beaten us there, I know we played a weakened team but they did win, it’s in London so just for location more of them would turn up without tickets, I just have a bad feeling Ric, hope I’m wrong

Our record at Wembley is very good and we have played there far more than Chelsea in recent years, so if anything it’s more familiar to us .
