I have no issue with him giving players mins to keep fit. I don’t understand why this has to be achieved with this two team method. He could make 3 or 4 changes every game, to keep players fresh without the absolutely monstrous drop off in the quality of the side we see with him changing the majority of the line up and in yesterday’s case, the structure of the side. I have no idea what that formation was yesterday and for me was Pep effectively throwing the game. It’s a risky strategy and I don’t think we need to be taking unnecessary risks. Get the thing won and he can play Khaldoon if he wants in the final games.
I personally think he saw it as a free hit to experiment and try something that he's seen before the final, I think he saw the top 4 as a way of stopping their full backs from pushing on as it's always a ploy from Chelsea but it obviously didn't work with the personnel on the pitch.

We may have lost but he would've learnt more than Tuchel after yesterday's performance

If United win the next 2 games and we lose at Newcastle you won't be so cocky. Can't see that happening but its not impossible.
their last two games are Fulham (h) and Wolves (a)

If they come through the next two games this week with 6 points we can't rely on them dropping any more points

Personally I think they'll drop at least 2 points this week, probably more

Also...the reason we rotate isn’t to drive some City fans mad. Do you really believe Pep takes notice of how and when we would prefer to lift the cup?

Its this....if you play twice in a week you are more likely to pick up an injury than if you played once and not just because you play one more game either.

We have a huge final coming up soon.

Whether we need them or not most of our A team will play v Newcastle because they have had a weeks rest and need to stay sharp.

So its not done to upset you or because Pep doesn’t know what he’s doing. So accept it and wait.

If united are ruthless in a way City are not, how come they are the team ten points behind with four games to go?

Because from the end of November we went on a run of results pretty much unprecedented in English football. United were hardly awful themselves though during the corresponding period. p.26, w.16, d.9, l.1.
By contrast we’ve now lost 3 of our last 8 (and 4 of our last 10 if you chuck in the Carabao Cup Final and the FA Cup semi). On each of those 4 occasions, we’ve barely looked like scoring. I just don’t see the logic in titting around and placing our fortune into an ever diminishing number of games, when we could, and should, already have put the title to bed. All it needs is for Altrincham Anthony or Fatboy Mason to turn up at St James Park with a laughable red card and suddenly the pressure would be properly on.

The games we've lost though have mainly not been with our first choice players. If we'd played our first 11 in some of those games, we might not find ourselves in a CL final. For the minimal risk of not winning the PL involved, I think it was the right decision.

It's a little bit disappointing seeing how many posters seem to lack the faith that City can get 2 points (or 3 if you must assume United are going to win every game 3-0) from Newcastle, Brighton, and Everton.

We played Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Arsenal, and West Ham in consecutive games and got 15 points out 15. But Newcastle, Brighton, Everton? Oh now we're fucked!

Come on get a grip.

It's because they're wum's/rival fans/hormonal women.
Delete as applicable.

Because the title isn’t at stake and they’ve got fuck all of importance to play for.

And don’t say the EL Final, it’s the LDV Vans European Trophy. It’s the only competition a team in the PL can win which requires the best teams to not be part of it.
I wasn’t going to. I agree completely. It’s the Thursday Night Loser’s Cup for Losers.

I mean there's a 99% chance that they were absolutely correct. Just because it's been a slower process than you wanted it to be doesn't make them wrong.

Who the fuck is being cocky, read my post again without the rage,

I've always said I take united win every game and we need one point more than they can get ,I've not changed anything since this thread started, but I am laughing at the people who seem to think the "it's done people " have put a jinx on it, it's like a witch hunt on here when we drop points and united don't,people need to calm down
