Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

Watched again, 2nd half was bigger shambles, save for those tight offside calls, it could have been brutal. Just got overrun like how Ramsey Bolton's army got overrun by Vale in Battle of Bastards. Whenever they came close to box it felt they will score
They were full of confidence after the penalty miss to be honest. We would of picked them off at 2-0.

Yeah I get what your saying with the team selection and what your saying about its not kids football, they don't deserve a chance after what we have seen with them in recent weeks, but the players themselves also have to take the blame, they don't give a shit and don't give 100% I don't want to single Torres out but recently you don't even know he's on the pitch he goes missing far too much.

So yeah Pep shouldn't start them but the second team clearly don't care. I said yesterday that team knew they could of won us the league yesterday but treated it more like a friendly. I can assure you Pep isn't screaming to them on the touchline to take it easy.
Do you think playing a midfield consisting of Rodri and only Rodri might have had something to do with it? Who's fault is that? It's not Henry Kissinger's. No, Pep needs to take the flack for yesterday. Fucking awful decision-making from him, just awful. I don't even blame Sergio - he might have missed the penalty had he blasted it - he regularly does miss anyway.

We should have bagged the pen, gone in at 2-0 and the game is done and Pep looks like a genius at the end of the game for playing the backups and winning comfortably. Instead we have piled on a ton of pressure and gained nothing. Still fuming. The rag bastards are going to win the next two as well meaning we have to full strength against the cloggers on Friday, fucking brilliant.

Well...stop wetting your knickers - and if your forecast/panic is correct I'll be the first to congratulate you on Pep's deficiences. Until then, stop pissing your pants and let's see how things turn out eh? When we win the PL title, I hope you don't go AWOL and are still as vocal. Something tells me we'll not hear from you as much.
Haha 2011 so not had to suffer like many of us. Wait till you've got a few decades of City scar tissue ,mate..you'll understand then.

I thought it was clever pressing from Chelsea myself, they gave Rodri freedom of the park and let him wander up looking for the pass, three players then quickly converged on him leaving no out ball. He shouldn't have stopped, hoping the ref would give a free kick, when there was no foul anyway.

I thought Rodri had a good game considering he was asked to do the job of at least two players but that was down to him.
None of the others made any move to help him. Given he was the only "midfielder" in our side, he coped OK.

Go back the fa Cup final and see what happened when we played Rodri and Fernandinho that game we didn't play nowhere near as good as yesterday. Pep is wrong with the team selection, again he should of gone full strength but like I say the second string need to step up aswell.

Also if you don't blame Aguero for that penalty then ermmmmm.... I don't know what to say.

i don't think he considers fans and rightly so. i also accept rotation to a degree but 9 in the prem? come on. it the man is an idiot.
I respect most of your comments Bill, but on this one I think you're behaving like some kind of 'entitled' fan. The very same thing we all castigate those across the way for. You of all people should respect where we came from - and should know better than to knock a manager that has, and continues to, win us more silverware than we could ever have dreamed of. He will make mistakes - just like every manager on the planet - but trophies are undeniable. Please stop this modern-day moronic attitude that we should win everything. You know our history/past better than most. You're starting to sound like a controversial young 'you'tuber' looking for likes.

Peps not an idiot
He just showed unfortunate arrogance yesterday
Agreed mate he makes bad decisions and its frustrating but the matter of the fact is..... we won 1 Cup we are going to win the Premier league and we are in the champions league final, everyone is entitled to an opinion but that is the behaviour of a spoilt little child. Fucking embarrassing.

but is pep mystic meg ? can he guarantee his best 11 will turn up for the champions league final and win it
maybe at one stage of whats left of the premier league we will need a win and our best 11 has to play
then no guarantee we win the game or not pick up a injury. because the players feel am not chancing it and forget me going in for a 50/50 ball i not chancing my place in the final team sheet

nobody can guarantee anything in football ? not even our great manager
can he over think things yes. does he get more rights than wrongs yes. can other manager get under his skin yes

all this pep and city have it covered ? well chelsea could have one of them days in the final and the one thing pep and city can not control is chelsea
That goes without saying - anyone can win on the day. All you can do is try and make sure your best 11 players are fit for those crucial games. There's not a manager working in the top tiers of international football who doesn't aspire to this ideaology. If they didn't they wouldn't be working in the top tiers of international football for very long.

you have me all wrong.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say it was arrogance yesterday, we have a squad and we need to use it. Some of the players were mentally and physically drained after Tuesday night. They have constantly put on performances and played some great football. Pep is a very demanding manager and now and again they need to take a breather. If it wasn’t for him would we be top of the league and in a position to rest most of the boys who performed heroically against PSG.!
The bulk of the side has played a game every 3 days since October and deserve a rest now and again. Granted it didn’t go to plan but to call him an idiot is a bit strong although I respect people are still pissed at yesterday especially after the europhia of midweek.
He did what he felt was necessary and it took a last minute deflection to win.

Hopefully we will go all out Friday and win the league.
