Booing the Champions League Anthem

So people shouldn’t boo an organisation that comes down harder on advertising betting firms on your boxers or coming out for the second half late than it does on actual racism because we don’t want to dampen the experience of pampered millionaire footballers on their biggest night?

Forget racism for a second. This is an organisation that has tried their best to kick us out and ruin us. If they had their way we wouldn’t be able to defend the title next year if we win it on the 29th.

The only thing that’s piss poor is not letting them know on their showpieces event they are still a corrupt organisation because we don’t want to dampen Bernardo Silva’s night.

Yes because your booing will have tremendous effect. It won’t even be heard on the tv

If you have such contempt for the competition and don’t care about the players — stay home and don’t bother watching the game at all

Come on guys this booing in the final? Read the top of this post.can we just move on now. I find it boring and sad now. Jeez I’ve had arguments with friends colleagues enemies but I don’t hold a grudge. My mum used to say shut up and move on. Apparently UEFA like us now for our part in being the 1st club and effectively collapsing the super league. A lot of our fans are embracing this now. It’s certainly been a magical European journey with us turning in some top class displays that the world of football has noticed. The players and manager would appreciate our backing. I do totally get why we booed but time to move on now for sure.
 
I'll be booing if I go. I can be hard on telly too, massively childish but I have done it a lot at the cricket for my own amusement and told people what ball of which over I'm doing it.

You haven’t a clue who the booing is aimed at if you think it won’t be heard on TV.

No one from UEFA will be watching it on TV!!!

All the corrupt officials, their cronies and their sponsorship partners will be sat in the ground that regular fans like me and you should be sat in.

The players will be playing their biggest game of their lives in a 3/4 empty stadium, I don’t think the booing of a 30 second jingle is going to have any difference on their occasion.

I’ll be watching the final at home and will be cheering the boys on, I will also boo the jungle if I’ve had a couple of beers by then.

Getting to the final changes fuck all. You should do well to remember that next time UEFA come after us or hand out pathetic sanctions for abuse against our players. See if it’s pathetic then.

Except they haven’t this season. It’ll be this team’s first experience with supporters in this competition. How would Ruben Dias feel? This kind of behavior in the final would feel puzzling and might have an effect on their concentration. If Uefa didn’t want us in the final, they could easily have screwed us in the Dortmund games or the PSG games. They had opportunities to do so

I am as against Uefa as anybody, but if the club on an institutional level isn’t doing anymore than our rivals, then our efforts are just performative. If at least the booing could be heard on tv, I could understand the power of demonstration. The officials in the stadium themselves couldn’t care less. They’d care if our club or other clubs did something. Like what PSG players did against Istanbul

This has always been the case in every Uefa and Fifa competition final. Especially in a year in which they made more money from sponsors than attendees (for obvious reasons)
