Series one is brilliant.....series 2 definitely not a patch on it.
First series worth it for the ginger kid scene alone!

Totally let down by possibly the worst ending I've ever seen ;(

We've come late to Line Of Duty and have binged watched up to the end of series 3. Which series are you talking about re. 'the worst ending'? Series 4 or the final(I think) series 6?

He certainly is. The storyline is designed to shock you and it worked in the first series, but for me the writers just went down the route of trying to make the next two series more shocking than the previous, and the characters more unhinged. There also came a point in season 1 where a single scene ruined it for me - it made no sense whatsoever based on Tim Roth's character and back story.

Finished season 2 of For All Mankind last night, really looking forward to season 3 but I speak to my family and friends and nobody else has ever seen it.

I took that as him realising that the remainder of his family were at serious risk now and it was only going to escalate. Perhaps also the guilt of knowing what happened to the trailer of illegals even though that wasn't his doing?

Surely the violent death of his son told him that. For me he had already emotionally left his remaining family and was coming to terms with his past, something which his family couldn't be a part of. Tim Roth's character was understandable, but I just never bought into the other two, especially after having been abandoned. It was all too neat for me, I'd have preferred the daughter to remain estranged but then kill him off. Her easy transfer into her own annihilistic state suggested some sort of inheritance from the father, which is ridiculous. The wife, maybe due to love, but not the daughter. She would have blamed Roth for the death of her brother, an event which largely became forgotten.

Incidentally, there was a similar programme on Sky with Sean Bean, called Legend I think, with a man sent deep under cover but who then struggled with separating his fake life from his real life once the job was complete. Only did one series about 5 years ago.

Mare of Easton is mostly brilliant. Great script, great acting and great direction which makes up for the 'girls gone missing' stereotypical plot.

Mare's county detective partner even looks a little like a young Stuart Pearce.

If you like crime thrillers then look no further than Spanish mini series The Innocent on Netflix.

Very watchable and very well made with the story building from various angles.
Caveat that I’m two episodes from the end so it could all go pear shaped but I doubt it.

Although GoTs ending was't great (surely has to be a reshoot some time down the line?) I'd argue Lost all day long. I still have no idea WTF the polar bears were all about.
