After the year we have had, a ballot was the fairest way to decide criteria for this match. Maybe for once we can give the "I am loyal and have lots of points" argument a rest.Yeh I seen that post too and with a record like that I'd like to think the Club could surely make an exception. I've missed out with a very high points total and my mates lad Seasoncard holder for two years has got one, Am I happy, No, I'm still in the camp of rewarding loyalty and always will be. Citizens should of been nowhere near the Ballot either but hey ho, as for the fuckin email debacle how anyone can defend that is mind boggling. A Royal fuck up by all involved.
If the club aren’t taking on board what you say why bother being on City Matters? This isn’t a criticism of you and your colleagues in any way. I’m just curious. We didnt "agree" to it.
The club propose how they intend to do things, we offer suggestions or advice and the club take it on board or ignore it. The idea that we sit there with final sign off is simple untrue.
If you're unhappy with the club feel free to email any of us and we'll pass it on.
And for what it's worth I've not had any email about the ballot and I'm really annoyed about it.
I’m in the queue doing the same process. I’ll be gutted but at least I’ll know. Finally put myself out of my misery by logging in at 9 this morning and finding out I was unsuccessful (pretty much knew anyway but was nice to get confirmation even if I had to do it myself).
Loads have said it before but every person lucky enough to be there, make a shit load of noise.
I get some people would like it to at least be recognised that they have been unsuccessful but the net result is still the same: no ticket. At least you are now in no doubt as to how much the club values your support.I don't have too much of a gripe with the eligibility for the draw, just the way it was done. It should have been drawn first thing on Friday, with an email going out to the unsuccessful first, then the reservists, then the successful. It's quite simple really.
As for eligibility, there's an argument for lots of different ways to do it. They tried to do something fair, but I would have restricted it to those with attendance to a minimum x number of games over the last y seasons for 9500 tickets and then another ballot for, say, 500 tickets for anybody not eligible above.
If your email address was up to date on the website and you've checked your spam folder then sadly it looks as if you missed out.I have had confirmation that I was in the ballot but I have received fuck all since. Am I in the reserve pot, playing Stoke in the Carabao, on a freezing night in February next year, the fuck off pot, or have I got a ticket? What's the likeliest scenario. Anybody know?
Yeah it's probably a no but good luck anyway!I’m in the queue doing the same process. I’ll be gutted but at least I’ll know.
Not even received email so if you have one saying in reserve hang fireI have had confirmation that I was in the ballot but I have received fuck all since. Exactly. There's so many ways they could have notified us all, they could even have just added a yes or no kind of thing on our online accounts that we could have checked ourselves. Why didn't City just say anybody who has been fortunate to get a ticket in the ballot will be notified by 6pm and if you haven't received an email by that time then you have been unlucky.
I think what's pissed off most blues is that we didn't have a clue what time they were notifying the lucky ones and that lots of us spent ages checking our emails in the hope we would be lucky.
I didn't get a ticket and I'm gutted but that's the luck of the draw.
I'm 66 and just got mine - there's a little dropdown box that says "Adult", click on the arrow and "over 65" should appear as one of the options. The site won’t allow me to buy a ticket as when I choose one it says I’m over 65 but it doesn’t give me an option for over 65 tickets.
