Top 4 Race 2020/21

Wishing either Liverpool or United to win is the same conundrum if I had save only of my two sister in laws from drowning in the sea.

Liverpool aren't going to make it this season.

Curiously, I believe that this is only the 2nd time within the past 10-15 years or so that a side other than City/ManU/Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool/Chelsea have finished top 4.

Apart from Leicester in 2015/16, I think the most recent example of a team other than the ones you listed finishing in the top four was Everton in 2004/05.

Leicester and chelsea play each other Wednesday if the dippers win their last 3 games they are guaranteed top 4.

If Chelsea win it's 67 to them, 66 to Leicester. Liverpool can get to 69 as can Leicester then it comes down to GD.

Probably but not guaranteed.
If Chelsea beat Leicester , Chelsea's max is 70, Leicester's max is then 69.
Dipper's max is 69.
So it could come down to GD between foxes and Dippers , but foxes would probably have to win big in their last game against Spursy.

No way will Leicester finish with a better goal difference than the dippers though in that scenario. Leicester would probably need to beat Spurs by 5 or 6 just to stand a chance.

Liverpool will get top four now even if it comes down to goal difference. Their last three fixtures are: West Brom, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

The fact that Leicester and Chelsea play each other is the killer.

Or an easier one. They might be desperate but so much so that they overcommit to things, or have a PSG style meltdown if things go awry.

Although not significant in the scheme of things it would be 'nice' to get to 89 points - same number as 2011/12 season.
