TV Series

The Good Fight on Peacock+. It's a spin-off/continuation of the excellent "The Good Wife" series.

Seasons 1-3 of TGF are awesome - season 4 is good but the plot is becoming ever more fanciful.

Fair warning - TGF is 100% US Democratic-leaning - if you favor the politics of Trump - you'll likely hate this series.

Enjoying Mare of Easttown.

A very underrated actress is Kate Winslet.
Certainly not underrated by the industry. 48 award nominations and 15 awards including the Oscar for the The Reader which was a tremendous performance. Her American accent in this Mare of Easttown is quite something. It always amazes me how they master an accent. Like that Scottish fella on Line of duty. How he disguises that I don’t know.

Watched the whole of the The Good Wife which was an excellent series. Much as I hated Trump though, The Good Fight became a massive bore as soon as the script writers started going after him in every single episode. Turned from a quality legal drama into a propaganda vehicle

Been rewatching Lost.

It's actually more enjoyable knowing what all the mysteries are and how it leads up to them rather than the "what the fuck is meant to be happening now?" bewilderment from watching it the first time.

Not to mention fast forwarding over the BS is a great boon.

Rewatching 24. Just finished up with Series 5

Unbelievable, far fetched, with plot holes the size of a PSG wall.

Love it!

How it leads up to them being in purgatory and dead?? Biggest pile of shit I've seen in a long long time

Snowfall season 4.

Due to delayed UK release, watched the first few episodes on snide stream but now all on iplayer as are all 3 previous seasons.

Not as good as the last series, spent too long on the Sully/manboy vengeance plotline went on too long.

Disappointed that Teddy McCuntold turned up in Havana, in keeping with the shithousery of the character. Even though Alton is overly idealogical, he is or (mostly likely now, was) the last sympathetic regular character left.

For some reason I couldn’t see contents of your spoiler until I replied.

You might be right, hadn't paid it much thought, although the timings would make sense.

Wouldn't have to be the case though, TM could probably find him pretty easily, after all he did charter the plane that took them there... could have had an asset waiting to trail them when they landed.

I think I did the wrong spoiler thing.
You could be right mate. I just thought it a bit coincidental that she happened to go out for a couple of hours.
She's been turning a bit ruthless for a while. We'll find out next year I suppose.

Yeah I assumed you were referring to that coincidence.

Agreed on second point.

Indeed we will.

I was expecting it to draw to a close with season 4 before the Mexican standoff and felt a bit cheated that it didn't.

My own fault though, should have known better. American TV either drags it out out until it is tired and soulless at the end, or abruptly cancelled like the Borgias.
