Top 4 Race 2020/21

It’s still out of their hands isn’t it? If Chelsea and Leicester win their games in hand, then Pool are out of top 4 right?
Leicester play Chelsea on Tuesday, so one has to lose points, so it is in Liverpool's hands. Also, didn't we get a load of stick when David James went up for a last minute corner - cos we are a massive club.

Nope, Liverpool have it to lose

If Liverpool win both their games they finish on 69

Let's just assume chelsea and Leicester win their game not against each other, they will have 69 and 67 and have each other to play

If Chelsea win they will have 70 and Leicester will be level on 69 with Liverpool but have inferior GD so Liverpool get top 4

If Leicester win, Liverpool will have 69 and Chelsea 67

If its a Draw, Leicester have 70 and Chelsea have 68, so Liverpool come 4th

Basically, unless Leicester smash Tottenham 10-0, they need to just not drop points to qualify

In the event of a tie, isn't GD first before goals scored?

Then Liverpool go through over Leicester in your scenario.
Sorry, I meant a tie on goal difference.

Pretty sure it goes goal difference, goals scored, head to head, then head to head away goals. Then a play off.

Does anyone think it might benefit us Chelsea missing out instead of Liverpool? I see chelsea as our biggest threat next season and our rival for signings so maybe it might help if they are dumped in Europa.

If Leicester lose on Tuesday they will likely finish 5th, same pts as Liverpool but worse GD.

If Chelsea don't beat Leicester then they will likely finish 5th two points behind both Liverpool and Leicester.

To be fair, James did a bit more than just go up for a last minute corner!

They’ll also be in the CL if they finish 5th beat us in the final. I’d rather they’re already in it instead of having to win it to be in it. Don’t need them having that extra bit of motivation. So nope, I don’t think that benefits us

Liverpool & Leicester both have +21 GD mate

So let me get this straight...
- No foul free kick for Salah’s equaliser
- Chalked off 2nd Brom goal cause......well feck knows
- Liverpool corner with 20s left, and we wait for Allison to do her hair and amble up for the corner to score
(West Brom defending was ass)

That what I just saw?

I think the same.

Chelsea get top 4 and I think they will be more likely to splash the cash. Maybe rival us for trying for Haaland?

Lets face it. Operation 'get the Dipper's in the top 4' is inevitable given that the PL is watched by millions of Scandinavian and American Dippers fans, and I'm certain UEFA will want a piece of the action when it comes to showing their games.

If Chelsea finish 5th and somehow beat us in the champions league final they don’t get in anyway, every cloud.

But they lose to Chelsea so they'd have at most +20 and Liverpool would have +22 min if they win midweek
Yep, they’ve also scored 2 more than Liverpool at the mo, so it’s going to go right down to the wire, but it highly unlikely Leicester will have to win 10 nil. It’s gonna be extremely close. Looking forward to seeing how it all develops
