It’s still out of their hands isn’t it? If Chelsea and Leicester win their games in hand, then Pool are out of top 4 right?
chelsea play Leicester

Leicester play Chelsea on Tuesday, so one has to lose points, so it is in Liverpool's hands. Also, didn't we get a load of stick when David James went up for a last minute corner - cos we are a massive club. It’s still out of their hands isn’t it? Nope, Liverpool have it to loseIt’s still out of their hands isn’t it? If Chelsea and Leicester win their games in hand, then Pool are out of top 4 right?
Sorry, I meant a tie on goal difference. In the event of a tie, isn't GD first before goals scored?
Then Liverpool go through over Leicester in your scenario.
To be fair, James did a bit more than just go up for a last minute corner!Leicester play Chelsea on Tuesday, so one has to lose points, so it is in Liverpool's hands. Also, didn't we get a load of stick when David James went up for a last minute corner - cos we are a massive club.
They’ll also be in the CL if they finish 5th beat us in the final. I’d rather they’re already in it instead of having to win it to be in it. Don’t need them having that extra bit of motivation. So nope, I don’t think that benefits usDoes anyone think it might benefit us Chelsea missing out instead of Liverpool? I see chelsea as our biggest threat next season and our rival for signings so maybe it might help if they are dumped in Europa.
Liverpool & Leicester both have +21 GD mateNope, Liverpool have it to lose
If Liverpool win both their games they finish on 69
Let's just assume chelsea and Leicester win their game not against each other, they will have 69 and 67 and have each other to play
If Chelsea win they will have 70 and Leicester will be level on 69 with Liverpool but have inferior GD so Liverpool get top 4
If Leicester win, Liverpool will have 69 and Chelsea 67
If its a Draw, Leicester have 70 and Chelsea have 68, so Liverpool come 4th
Basically, unless Leicester smash Tottenham 10-0, they need to just not drop points to qualify

But they lose to Chelsea so they'd have at most +20 and Liverpool would have +22 min if they win midweekLiverpool & Leicester both have +21 GD mate
Yeah, it’s a slim to non-existent hope, but it may come down to if Burnley can get something against them midweek. But they lose to Chelsea so they'd have at most +20 and Liverpool would have +22 min if they win midweek
If Chelsea miss out in top 4, it will give them an even bigger incentive to win CLI think the same.
Chelsea get top 4 and I think they will be more likely to splash the cash. Maybe rival us for trying for Haaland?
Yep, they’ve also scored 2 more than Liverpool at the mo, so it’s going to go right down to the wire, but it highly unlikely Leicester will have to win 10 nil. It’s gonna be extremely close. Looking forward to seeing how it all developsBut they lose to Chelsea so they'd have at most +20 and Liverpool would have +22 min if they win midweek
Possibly, but I'm not sure if it works like that psychologically. Kinda like how in the playoffs, the team who just scrapes in at the last game often does better than the team who narrowly misses out on automatic promotion. If Chelsea miss out in top 4, it will give them an even bigger incentive to win CL
