Harry Kane

Ankle injuries have about a 70 % recurrence rate..look how many times his ankles have gone..you lose what is called proprioception in the joint when you tear the ligaments..yes, you can retrain, but they are never the same..the joint becomes unstable and then you can get osteoarthritis as a consequence..Kane will be a crock, maybe not just now,but for sure in the future..I speak as an ex Doctor at two football clubs.

Good info but I’m not sure Pep was planning on starting him when he’s in his mid 50s

Id take Kane definitely as long as the price would be reasonable. Knows the league and doesn't come with any baggage like Haaland would with his **** of a agent.

Sure Kane would not be long term solution but im not convinced Haaland would stay at City for 10 years either like some think. He strikes me as the classic type of switching clubs every 3-4 years, especially if performances on the pitch hit bit of a bump like bad season etc. (but of course could be wrong)

Get 4-5 world class years out of Kane and sign top young striker to replace him (there will be ones around then).

The money that Levy will demand will be ludicrous for a 28 year old. Anything over £80 for a player who wants to leave at that age is a no from me. Pay an extra £50m and get Haaland. Kane does not suit our style, our team is SCREAMING out for pace and Kane has none. He will end up at United as they will pay the silly money to calm the fans. Haaland all the way for me.

Disagree, we are actually way better at the minute when we build up slower. Hence why the likes of Mahrez are getting the nod and not the quicker more direct sterling. Pace doesn’t get you anywhere when the opposition are defending the 18 yard line.

sterling a bit part player ?? its not always about the money and sterling wants game time every week and to be a main player ? deals can be done when a players gets basic wage but gets a big signing on fee and bonuses. i just feel sterling and pep are done and nothing more can be done to help sterling improve his game and that panic rabbit in the headlights will always be there

pep wants more goals in the team for next season and world class strikers. and the funny thing is this summer there is 3 or 4 up for grabs and pep and city would be daft not trying to sign a couple. when you have players like KDB and foden. silva. you need a striker to make their game better and the striker is the icing on the cake
You're looking at it from Citys point of view & the possibility of signing of a new striker & not Raheems.

Raz can sit on his backside for 12 months on double the amout of money he'd get in a poor performing Spurs side with no champions league football or very little chance of winning trophies. Then he enters the last year of his contract, Raz can then pick & choose where he goes knowing he holds all the aces. Milner allegedly got £10m signing on fee & Sanchez £20m.

So tell me again why would Raz pass up all that money & opportunity to play regularly at Spurs unless they are his boyhood team when he wouldnt play much less under Pep.

I remember when Pep was chasing one of the world best ( Alexis Sanchez ) instead of trusting EDS prospect ( Jadon Sancho )
We aren't Dortmund and we don't play in Bundesliga. A 17-year old is never going to walk into our senior team. Oh boy, I hope we don't sign a Fern replacement since we have Lavia!

One argument for Kane over Haaland is that Kane won't demand silly wages to disrupt our structure. I'm assuming since he does want to come here. If he pays some of his transfer fee ala Fernandinho, even as a symbolic gesture, then it's Kane all the way.

Does Kane have a commercial pull?
I know he obviously has some, but would he bring in any extra revenue? Like extra big club sponsors cos ‘we’ve got Kane’
I doubt he would bring in extra fans like say Haaland would from Norway.
He is currently on £200k a week, so would have thought he’d be wanting £250k upwards.
Just wondered considering what he’ll cost (wow)

IMHO...

Too old, too injury prone, too expensive.

Look what happened to the current "Harry Kane Team".

JJ
The counter arguments are -

28 isn't old.

He has missed less games than Kev the last few years who isn't considered as injury prone.

5 years ago Higuain at 28 signed for Juventus for around £80mill so £100 mill for a player who has a much better goal return in a more competitive league doesn't seem that far off the mark.
