No mate, that interview was recorded six weeks ago, nothing he didn't say before when he was at the London Football Writers' awards.

Just what I think, an overriding sense this has been in the works for longer than we can maybe appreciate?

I'd been told City wanted a striker in the door before the Euros, and Kane's deadline leak the other day flicked a switch and lit a few fires under arses.

Without betraying a confidence on here, I was contacted on here a few weeks back by someone and total integrity, who had specific info on Kane coming to Manchester.

I dismissed it at the time because of the great noise coming back on Haaland.

I just don't believe United has the money or the intelligence to have boxed off Kane.

If that's the case, that may have been why the Sergio news was announced when it was? I always thought the timing of that was strange.
Then we had Haaland's people flying around Europe, so maybe they got tipped off about the developments.

Who knows, and no idea what will happen, but things seem a bit clearer to me now.

The Rags are more likely to sign Michael Caine given the age of their star forward

When people comes with such detailj information, that most of the forum users dont write. Then he must have much backing those "rumours" or his cretability is not good.
Perhaps English not being your first language is a barrier to your understanding of what TH has said? (that's not a dig by the way).

He does have way more contacts than almost anyone on here, at City and the rest. As said before though, until you see a player in a City shirt on City's official site there's no guarantees. He's usually entertaining at the very least and if it wasn't for people like him this would be a very poor forum.

Lets hope that Haaland doesnt end up anywhere else in the premiership over the next few seasons.....him ending up at the scousers or rags or chelsea would not be good.

Think he plays better with a centre forward, whether thats Kane, previously Aguero, or whoever we buy for next season, he’ll be back to his best.
Good point. I don’t think it is any coincidence that raz’s massive drop in performance has coincided with us playing a false 9

Wouldn’t want to play you at Cluedo, that all adds up pretty nicely..!

Well something has to happen soon as his contract is up in 6 weeks. I’m actually surprised it’s so quiet.

I know Messi is a special case but.....serious question......can anyone think of a player that has ever run his contract down this far and stayed at the club as a player...ever?

Im not saying he definitely won’t stay just wondering if anyone can think of a similar case since the Bosman ruling?

Unusual to say the least!
Hopefully Fernandinho :)
