Champions League Final | Tickets - City Official Package + UEFA Tickets | 2022 Final (pg 1033)

So we’ve had a nightmare

ordered 2 tickets with travel pack. No email so rang city who said they needed to cancel and re order as they hadn’t transferred travel on but it was there fault. They cancelled it and then phone went dead (12pm so after city had sold out) got back through and they said they’ve gone to someone else and we’ve lost our tickets. Now no tickets to give us and not much help from supporter services.

anyone any ideas of who to email?!
Did they take money out of your account ?

all those reduced allocations under Pearce, sven, hughes, and even Mancini seem to have been forgotten, why were they reduced, because the demand wasn't there, the club knew they would end up with a bill because all those desperate for loyalty points couldnt be arsed to go, but it doesnt end there, there were numerous cup games at home where the stadium was half empty, the year we won the cup, we had stewards in cb level 3 offering us to move seats in the north stand against Villa, so the ground wouldnt look so empty for tv. I have sympathy for the younger fans, but the opportunity has been there for anyone over 18 since the early 2000's
Not even Pearce wanted to attend under Pearce :)

Fun fact, the 4 straight seasons where I did every home and away were the end of the Pearce era, Sven and then Hughes.

My eldest was born the summer before the takeover, then three more kids arrived over the next few years so whilst I kept my season ticket and did homes I cut back the aways to maybe a couple a season - just at the time we started winning away. I’ve kept my points up with cup schemes so can get cup finals and could have got one for Porto if I’d wanted but doubt I’ll ever make that ground back up with the 22,000+ lot and fair play to them for getting there.

I'm with you mate, just hope it doesn't start buffering loads, that has been a problem with some finals
I think BT are showing it free.
If you don’t have a tv package with BT listings on, download the BT App to a tablet.
If your tv has chrome cast you can cast it to your screen from your tablet.
..otherwise, huddle round the tablet :-)

You might need to check this. It used to allow casting, but then I tried to do it on a friends TV for the 2nd leg and a message came up saying they had stopped people being able to do that. ☹️

Not got time to give a full answer to that one now. Things to do before I head North this evening for tomorrow's game.

I have done several posts on this thread and the return on fans one recently.

As just mentioned and it applies not just to me, many of us put in lots of hard yards before the scheme started but for all sorts of reasons have not been able to accumulate points over the more recent times to the same degree as others. And then it becomes hard to get tickets for away games and play catch up.

In the past two or three seasons I have sat with the home supporters at WHU, WBA, Watford, Swansea, Oxford, Southampton & Brighton and used away spares a couple of times at Spurs. Most of those being games where City fans in the away end paid less and got points.

Younger supporters are also disadvantaged.

It's difficult though to come up with an ideal system and there are people who go to virtually every game who can reasonably claim they should be able to buy tickets for each game. However, I believe wider availability of away tickets would be appropriate.

The distribution of the vast majority of cup final tickets should have some link to attendance. Also, I firmly believe that a higher proportion of tickets in finals should go to the clubs involved than is normally the case.
In the absence of a fairer system I think we're better off sticking with the current points system. It does exactly what it's supposed to do by rewarding loyalty.

The current system started at the same time for everyone and we all started on zero points. Maybe that was a mistake but it was nearly 20 years ago so I'm not really sure what can be done about that.

Regarding your point about younger fans can't catch up. Both my sons are in their early 20s and both have got just under 15k points. They will be at the CL final next Saturday.

Platinum is probably the only thing that is actually wrong with the points system. They should calculate how many points supporters have gained from the Platinum scheme and deduct them from their total. Then refund the money that they have paid to be on the scheme.

Anyone got the booking confirmation but still waiting for the flight details?

Platinum and Superbia were introduced at the same time in order to make money out of City fans going away.

All my tickets cost £1,500 in 2010/11 , and to reward my loyalty I could join Superbia and pay £2,500 for the season after.

The clubs sells expensive home tickets on the back of allowing access to away tickets, and hardly any go to points now for the smaller allocations and united away. That is why the club have had a long term goal to move away from loyalty point so they an allocate to who they want to.
