We never make the DM headline unless it’s City bingo time but you’d expect us to be at the top after getting our hands on the trophy and the Aguero story, so imagine my fake amazement when I flicked on their app for an update and saw us not at the top but second at least with the headline ‘Sergio Aguero has a problem with Pep Guardiola and isn’t happy with how his exit has been managed’ by that well known sport writer Kathryn Batte aka (I’m guessing) Neil ‘the Hutt’ Ashton.

Our celebrations article was nowhere to be seen, yet no surprise in finding the Sergio article at the top.

Their average age must be close to 30. FSG wont pay for the rebuild required. Will spend just enough for top 4.
That's the great thing, Arsenal used to do that, now the dips & rags are on that train.

Two horse race next season with a 15 point gap between defending champions City & Chelsea & a bun fight of history clubs for 3rd to 4th.

Not sure about that. If United go and buy a striker and a centre back and another centre back and a defensive midfielder and a right winger and another central midfielder and a goalkeeper I think they'll be up there.

Not one City player in Dominic King's Premier League best XI in the Daily Mail today...

Let it percolate for just a second - every other pundit from said paper has the best part of three or four, yet this Scouse Louse, Liverpool supporting shill, can't bring himself to go with the flow?

So much more convenient for him to just ignore any player from all the top six teams instead, no doubt claiming it to be far more holistic and a pure.

Pathetic.

That's my reading of next season too. Tommy Tucker doing a good job at Chelsea who will be the danger to us. Gap much smaller than 15 pts, imho. Let's hope they dont start Saturday!

would be interesting to go back a year and see the selections from Liverpools title season.

I think next season is massive for them. Perhaps Klopp can get them going again. Personally, I think it's unlikely. They are expecting that Van Dijk will turn them into world beaters again. I doubt he'll be the same player he was. His football brain wont be affected but the legs will struggle. A lot of players lose 5% after a bad ACL injury - Sane for instance isn't the player he was in his last year with us. Their front 3 is a year older, if Mane is even there, Henderson is a year creakier, Milner is a year creakier, and so on. I don't doubt they will get top 4 but they are IMHO 3 players away from being genuine title contenders.

Maybe Klopp will prove me wrong, but I think he will want to spend £100m+ to put them in the position of being genuine title contenders and he won't get it. I can see him going at some point next season.

That's what irritated me most about the end of the season gone. They got into the CL. Liverpool are operating on the bones of their arse. Losing the CL revenue would've hit them hard. Fkn annoying.

I was listening to radio 1 and they had Scott mills do a final league table countdown like he does with the music charts. Followed by Oasis don’t look back in anger. Anyway made me smile. Up the blues ;)

I just dont understand Sam Lee and I dont understand the club to be ok that he writes about City for the Athletic. Even if he is right about problem between Pep and Kun the timing is just a PR disaster and he knows it . No one who has any love for the club would choose this time to publish a story like that.

For all the moaning about the BBC I had a look on there and 4 of their top 6 stories had a City slant.

he's a united fan

Not had any reason to watch, read or listen to anything BBC related for years. Judging from many posts on this thread it seems mental that so many put yourselves through it when it winds you up so much.
