He won’t have anything to do with it, it’ll be his accountant doing his job, no doubt it’s the same for all our players.

He’ll pay interest on the directors loan though and he’ll still have to pay and pay he’ll pay tax on that too when it’s repaid so not really sure where the benefit is? Any accountants on here will know!

Pep Guardiola:

"I want to travel to Porto well, make the best barbecue possible, good wine, good chat with my backroom staff and with the people in the hotel. Friday the same, enjoy the training session in the Porto stadium, our chairman [Khaldoon] will be there, enjoy. Saturday will be nervous - try to win the game. I learned from my time to live these moments with a little bit more calm, knowing that if we win we will be incredibly happy, if it doesn't happen, sad few days. After that: sunshine in Barcelona, enjoy the summertime, and prepare for next season. We are a dot in the universe, that's why 'don't think much', it's good."

Never mind football, what a perfect attitude to life in general. God i love Pep, coolest mother fucker in town.
Hopefully a fat cigar with his wine after the game too ;)

I watched 'Take the ball, pass the ball' the other night, about pep's barca. Quotes from Henry and Valdes etc said one of the best things pep brought in that was 'ahead of the game' was having the night off before the CL final, with players just being able to spend time with their families etc where other managers would be very strict on what they could and couldn't do. Allowed them to go into the game relaxed and just play football - obviously still has this great mentality

When you're facetiming ex US presidents, cooking with fish fingers on telly and spending 18 hours a day at a foodbank when have you got time to concentrate on silly things like football.

He'll be a knight of the realm this time next year even though he can't hit a barn door from 20 paces.

We heard that on the radio on the way to work, about Rashford talking to the president of the USA didnt mention ex !

My missus who doesnt really follow football turn to me and said " I am sick and tired of hearing about Marcus Rashford, people were doing this type of work way before the pandemic, he has just jumped on the bandwagon what's he doing it for ?" ".

I said " to get a knighthood "

Doubt he has anything to do with it, it’s just his account doing his job

Is the correct answer!

Be careful slagging off their players for such tax avoidance antics, when absolutely our players will be doing the same thing.

It's not illegal, and if most of us on here were super-wealthy, we'd be doing the same thing.

Rashford is fair game for slagging off, with him being an overrated shit footballer and all that, go for it with both barrels! But imho he can't be slagged off for putting his money where his mouth is where the welfare of kids from poorer families is concerned. Fair fucks to the fella for that.

Rashford should stick to his job and stop telling tax payers how their taxes should be spent. And keep his name and face out of the media.
He would do well to have a word with Mata who would be able to tell him how football should be played and how to do stuff for charity in a discreet way.

Sky looking for trouble as they don't hold the rights.

Looks cordial between the fans. From the questions being asked by the reporters and the answers so far both are weary of the cunts.

Regardless of if we win tomorrow; If it is club related I'm sure the club have a default setting of a giant Raheem Sterling holograph holdong the PL title pointing in the direction of Stretford and murkeyside.

:)

I was going to say he won't get one off Boris because he made life difficult for him over school meals but if the Holy One can sort out Dominic Cummings, he will get a peerage. Lord Marcus of Old Moat.
The media have been kind to the rags since Wednesday finding so much else to print instead of second rate United fail in second rate competition.

I've no idea what the basis is for your absurdly elevated hatred of this quite-good footballer and generous young man (I hope it's just because he plays for United), but it's really gone too far when you seem to be literally angry with him for advocating that children in one of the richest countries in the world shouldn't be going to bed hungry.

It's very strange. Not sure whose publicist set it up. In Obama's case it's a big 'Why?' If it's Ashton's work you have to ask 'How' it was brought about.
Obama says Rashford is doing better than him at 23. Of course he was.Obama at that age was a law student struggling to qualify and then to try and make his name as the black son of a single mother whereas St Marcus was living a pretty good life in the United academy from 11-17 and then paid a very large amount as a professional footballer.
Obama needs to shut up and get his own house in order. Plenty to do there.
Both of them have Penguin Books as their publisher, as well as Obama’s wife. You don’t think that Rashford’s Book Club was purely charitable?

When you look a little beneath the surface you soon see that what is thought to be philanthropic act turns out to be a chase for money.

I literally advocate on here the plight of starving children in Africa.
I doubt Rashfords sincerity and have done from the word go.
'Absurdly elevated hatred' - dear me.

Sadly so but it does raise money. But its far from being as altruistic as the naive are programmed to think.

Well said.
