Thought Stones, Silva and Sterling were poor and we were unlucky losing our best player to injury, other than they just played better, probably because Guardiola decided to not play the team that won the second leg vs PSG and use a formation they probably practiced for a week or two.

Not too gutted as we’ll be in a CL final again.

I think I have had enough of Pep.

We get to another CL final, what will he do? We all knew CFC would play 3 quick forwards and play counter-attacking football so why did you do that Pep? We needed cover in this game more than any other.

Sorry but that and many of the other comments on here disgusts me. If any of the team read this forum I wouldn't blame them all for walking out. What he's done is beyond my wildest dreams even 10 years ago. There's no guarantee any other manager would have even got us close. Nobody else has.

I actually felt worse when Pep decided it was OK to let the rags beat us yet again.
What pisses me off is his stubborn arrogance that rather than admit it wasn't working at half time he persists with this crap into the 2nd half.

Playing without a DM unbalanced the team. To many players playing out of their normal position. Made the players nervous.
To me it didnt feel like a champions league final probably because we were playing another English team.

Maybe, but none of our players were anywhere near as aggressive in closing down Chelsea as they would normally be and we started with none of our players who 'get stuck in' i.e. Fernandinho, Rodri or Cancelo.
People complain about Pep over thinking things and in this case I think he over thought the referee rather than the opposition.

I'm with you matey. We needed to play our natural game, but we need a DM for that.

I thought he made a poor decision to come for the ball, but where was dias as the left sided cd and zinch wasn't goal side and never tried - it was basically a set play from Chelsea - you could hear the shout

That was the wackiest team selection I have seen from Pep.

60 games this season playing with either Rodri or Fern. In the biggest game, on the biggest stage, he plays neither.

That‘s just plain crazy, and it showed on the pitch.

You wait so long to get to our first champs league final and then throw it away with a really limp performance. I knew as soon as the team was announced it was a terrible mistake. We lacked shape, lost our press and were clueless. One shot on target is a whimper. Pathetic performance. Really disappointed Pep didn't just play the same team that excelled to get us to the final. Gutted. Never played to our potential. Didn't deserve to win it. Utterly shocking performance for a game that meant so much.

99 times out 100 I love the guy but tonight, it just had to be all about him didn't it?

As always when one is hurting, we are looking for simple reasons to explain why we didn't get what we wanted.

The set-up, players not playing well, De Bruyne getting hurt, an official who called things tight, Kante and fine performances from others in royal blue -- a lot of things combined made this happen. It's not all on that formation, though it's easy to say that because it was the starting point, and plenty called it out instantly so it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I’ll never understand why Pep chose the team he did there. No CDM, Foden out of the position he’s been brilliant in. Pep’s undoubtedly a genius but he’s set us up for failure there.

In all honesty we weren’t great and they were well organised, and well managed, if nothing special.

Rudiger’s on my list of players to root against. Intentionally left one on Kev there. Cynical. With that said Kev was having a quiet one.

Sat on the coach waiting to go back to the airport. I really thought Pep had learnt his lesson and wouldn't try to be clever. Neither of Fern or Rodri when they have one of the best midfielders going in Kante who will run all day, is mind blowingly stupid.

KDB was well off the pace even before he was injured. We didn't make the keeper make a save all night.

Also playing sterling when you haven't trusted him for months. Unbelievable.
