Sorry to ask again but when is the window open ?
Couldn't care less what pundits have to say mate in all honesty they will always find things to throw at us no matter what we ain't the media darlings and never will be. I'd take Kane all day you have to spend big and keep improving.Just putting this point out there, everything I'm reading and hearing is that its the likes of Harry Kane who will cost a fortune.
Do we not have scouts that can find great players for a fraction of the price?
Buying big will just confirm all the criticism of the club and Pep that we just buy success?
June 9th.Sorry to ask again but when is the window open ?
I think that right, and I also couldn’t up with one...which sort of raises the point that if your system relies on having a player that maybe doesn’t exist it probably needs changing.Pep might be asking too much for one player. I love fernandinho but we got overrun in the midfield by Liverpool in the CL when he was at his peak, its not like we had everything sorted back in 2017/18.
Is there anyone who is big, fast, incredible on the ball against the press, creative, and also reads danger?
I genuinely can't name someone who has all of those attributes that Pep needs in the most important position in his side. Kimmich might be the closest but he's not *amazing* creatively.
ThanksJune 9th.
We need a Diaz type of character in the middle of the park, take no prisoners and give as good as they got, we are far too weak and mild in there without Fern.I think that right, and I also couldn’t up with one...which sort of raises the point that if your system relies on having a player that maybe doesn’t exist it probably needs changing.
For me though, we pretty clearly need an athletic midfielder who reads danger, even if he is just “good enough” at the other attributes. Once Fernandinho can’t do what he does anymore (and it’s now unclear if Pep still trust him to do it) it’ll be such a glaring hole in the team.
Well, you do have to admit that 'Other' has a point.I find the discussion on squad spaces fuuucking exhausting.
me: we don't have free spaces in the squad, it is one in one out.
other: we do, you are wrong, you moron.
me: these are the rules, the quota for PL and CL, these are our current numbers.
other: But, you moron, if we get rid of A, promote B, loan out C, use D to cover his position, leave E out of the CL squad, and make F train with the kids, we have spaces.
me: thanks for proving my point.
other: told you we had free spaces, you moron.
over and over.
Not sure where to put this so I’ll just bang it here. The source mentions Real in his Twitter bio.
Given the frankly insane amount of money we’ve spent over the past few years, how the hell are we still in a situation where we’re probably going to have to spend another £200 million + this summer to improve?!
We don't go shopping because we need something, we go shopping to feel better.
We are losing Aguero. We need to replace him with a striker, so that is 100 million right there. We only bought in Dias and Ake last summer but we also replaced Otamendi and Kompany.Given the frankly insane amount of money we’ve spent over the past few years, how the hell are we still in a situation where we’re probably going to have to spend another £200 million + this summer to improve?!
Every team needs to do that to keep moving forwardGiven the frankly insane amount of money we’ve spent over the past few years, how the hell are we still in a situation where we’re probably going to have to spend another £200 million + this summer to improve?!
This is why Txiki is not as good as is being made out to be. You dont see other clubs spending hunderds of millions every single summer almost.Given the frankly insane amount of money we’ve spent over the past few years, how the hell are we still in a situation where we’re probably going to have to spend another £200 million + this summer to improve?!
Every team needs to do that to keep moving forward
Who is the perfect team???
Name it and I’ll tell you your wrong
Butt look at what we have had to replace:Given the frankly insane amount of money we’ve spent over the past few years, how the hell are we still in a situation where we’re probably going to have to spend another £200 million + this summer to improve?!
But we also spend £40m on players like Aké.Butt look at what we have had to replace:
Zabba
Vinny
David Silva
Kolorov and Clichy
Otomendi
Nasri
Joe Hart
to name but a few
Now we are goint to have replace Sergio and Ferna - of course we are going to have to spend....we cannot possibly replace playersof this calibre without spending.....KDB only has a few years left as well...Mahrez is 29 as well....so again in another 2-3 years alay out on just those 4 replacements is going to have to be significant and thats before you take into account rising market prices
Not sure why anyone is interested in how much we spend...the only ones interested usually are the media and the opposition (one in the same thing at times) that want to somehow belittle what we do/achieve
Who was injured for most of the year. I remember most of us crying about the fact that we din't sign anyone to replace Kompany and were stuck when Laporte was injured. But we also spend £40m on players like Aké.
