Fairly sure his role would be made clear before we signed him.who do you drop though, as he will demand first team football. We’d then end up in a similar scenario with unhappy players

It's not the hardest job in the world. You would be surprised, how many TD's there are, at different clubs, that actually never have been involved in playing football on a high level. There are other skills, which are far more important ;).
I'm with you Tolmie. He is more than good enough mate. He's better than Rodri in quite a few areas.
He's quicker (and he's not even quick) reads the game better, senses danger, he also tackles. He could probably play centre back in his sleep too.
He doesn't have Rodri's eye for a lofted pass, but people need to start asking different questions of a player we bought to be Fern's long term successor?
When do we see Rodri making an actual tackle, I don't mean when he's caught on the ball and has to then battle it back with his sheer size?
I mean an actual intervention when we lose the ball in transitions, like Fern has done for so long?
Nothing against the guy, a good enough squad player, perhaps, but lacks both the legs and intensity of Fernandinho, which we should have been getting for £60m.
He's actually a bit soft if I'm expressing my own observations, but know he has his fans.
What the feck are you smoking dont talk absolute liverpool!I'm with you Tolmie.
Rodri isn't much better than Fernando or Javi Garcia.
He is basically a DM who cannot tackle or run. He does manage a 5 yard square pass no bother. He has had 2 seasons to improve but, for me, is no better now than when he 1st arrived. Need somebody with pace for his position. What the feck are you smoking dont talk absolute liverpool!
Yeh i get that you need an engine but comparing rodri to garcia or fernando is utter horsecrap! He is basically a DM who cannot tackle or run. He does manage a 5 yard square pass no bother. Dippers/Rags or a hybrid either way they stink the place out on a daily basis.I’ve been criticized for pointing out how recent certain members are, and how very suspiciously specific the scope or their comments are. But it does make you wonder what’s the agenda, or who’s behind them lol
Well if you think that you footballs not for you.it really isn’t.

Touché :)according to you, who thinks people shouldn’t have opinions that differ from yours. Perhaps forums aren’t for you?
Think hes had a very good season basically been 1st choice in his role. More of an interceptor than destroyer. I don't buy the theory that you have to have pace to play the dm role 2 of the best I've ever seen busquets and alonso we as slow as rodri it's about having the right mix alongside him. 61 games played out a possible 62 says to me that we r so close to perfection we r not going to have 25 players every season performing right to the top of there abilityHe is basically a DM who cannot tackle or run. It happens near the end of every season. Nothing new. Some even stay for years. Most fuck off.I’ve been criticized for pointing out how recent certain members are, and how very suspiciously specific the scope or their comments are. Also a lot of redshirt sleepers who have had accounts for years and rarely posted but come alive when its time to stick the boot inI’ve been criticized for pointing out how recent certain members are, and how very suspiciously specific the scope or their comments are. Gareth Barry did the role you're suggesting for us...He ain't no Gazza Bazza, not got the footballing brain to be as affective.Think hes had a very good season basically been 1st choice in his role. Yes he has, not the experience that Barry had yet, but definitely the football brain, and the ability to be better than Barry.Gareth Barry did the role you're suggesting for us...He ain't no Gazza Bazza, not got the footballing brain to be as affective.
