Chairman's Interview

Did he mention ‘Chips’?
Chips to him will be like the Chips the final - really poor choice of shit on offer.

Meanwhile, Joel Glazer was last seen on screen scuttling around a Florida car park like a sweaty rat to avoid answering questions from Sky.
His pal John Henry was reluctantly hauled in front of a camera by his PR people to deliver an insincere ‘Mea Culpa’ that looked more like Cliff Richard begging for his life in an Al Queda hostage video.
Big Khal AM-M might not get everything right, and indeed he got the ESL fiasco badly wrong, but we’re still in much better hands than most of our rivals

Talking about the future and the next ten years is all I needed to hear as that will boil the piss of the rags and dippers.

That aside now Aguero has gone, I think this transfer window could be one of our most important yet.
Ageuro cannot ever be replaced but always remember we won the title without him by 12 points. With a few quality signings we should be able to do it again.

We cannot sit back and expect more of the same will be enough. We need to evolve tactically, false nine was nice but teams will work it out we nee to hit them with a striker like Haaland or Kane opening space up and taking men with them for other to use that space.
Have someone there who can score headers and we cross into the box for Sterling to wait for the header next to 3 head taller defenders.

All our PL rivals will spend big money imo, to close the gap on us.

I liked this year how teams who were lying down to Liverpool last year were not always like that again but stood up to them even at Anfield sometimes. Even fucking Everton did not gift them 6 points this time.

But that means they will raise their game further when they play City next time while they again lie down to Liverpool:).

We need 2-3 big signings to scare our rivals and also to shake up our squad and raise the bar for competition for places and bring in some fresh hunger into the squad.

Tbf, some of our rivals are barely solvent, with at least three having to take massive loans. LFC have made a gig signing but it would not surprise if they have to sell too.

Certainly agree we need to move on from the false nine. Our attacking play needs a focal point. In the final, Chelsea knew exactly how to deal with us having no striker.

I think we are the best run club in the league. How brilliant to know that every year you are pretty much nailed on to win at least 1 title but probably 2 and treated to the best football this country has probably ever seen by a country mile. However disappointing the CL outcome was we are always going to be in with another chance another year with this management and infrastructure.

Felt a dagger in my heart when I saw the two trophies alongside Khaldoon, the European cup would have been the cherry on the top.

Think I’m getting over it now though, we should all reflect on what an amazing seasons it’s been. Very close to a quadruple, found a Vinnie replacement, Pep signing a new contract and Sergio signing off with a couple of goals.

This summer is going to be huge for us. I think the number one targets are Haaland and Grealish, with Kane the back up to Haaland. Haaland and Grealish both have that winning mentality that will only help us. We would be adding two monsters to our already brilliant team.

Khaldoon knows were in a great position to dominate domestic football football for the next few seasons, we just need to become a regular in the champions league semi/final every season. No going backwards next year by getting knocked out in the early stages.

It has to be Haaland doesn’t it? Spend very big and I believe he will be available this summer (the alternative is less appetising and will cost a fortune anyway).

Brilliant.

Just simply brilliant interview, that's even day after losing CL. We have the perfect match: brilliant fans, players, coach and owners! Best club in the world.

Surely we don't lack liquidity?
If we are looking at outflows to help offset inflows, it can be a factor. Plus, our finances, for FFP, were negative this year, even though FFP data is going to be aggregated over multiple seasons.
