Harry Kane

I fully expect Levy to say £150m minimum.
Doesn’t really matter if Dortmund hate us, ‘if’ Haaland says he wants us and no one else then there’s not a lot they can do.
The sticking point it seems with Haaland could be wages and agent fees, always thought this would be the case.
Wages I would have thought be the slightly easier of the two to get round.
Kane would be on £300k a week (reports)
So you could start Haaland on £250k-£300k a week with the understanding if he wants more, earn it.
I’m sure we’d have no problem paying him £500k a week if he becomes a £500k player.
The sticking point seems to be that Haaland doesn't want to come here. Its been made pretty clear we had no issue dealing with wages, Raiola, Dortmund or anything else. The lad himself needs to want to come here. Kane has made his position pretty clear and that is the clearest sign that we have given him the nod to start working on leaving.

If Conte convinces Kane he should stay at spuds then hes obviously not that interested in his legacy so good luck to him.

After Khaldoon interview it is pretty clear we are going in for the striker ( It was already pretty clear it just comes directly from the horse's mouth now)

What I do fear is the best two strikers in the world are most troublesome to get :

Harry Kane : Levy is a dick which wants to protect his image of hard negotiator and cut his nose to spite his face. The failed deals of Dele Alli Ericson Dembele and Rose gives us a good idea that he would lose money just to act tough.
He doesn't give a fuck about Kane and may say 200 or nothing. City would say NO

Haaland : Dortmund hates us. We know and TH has also alluded to the fact. They would sell him to anyone but us. Chelsea has a strong team, money to through and just won a CL. What happens when Raiola says give me 40 mil another 30 to Alfie and 130 mil to Dortmund and then I might convince Dortmund and Haaland to close to deal.
Our history suggest we would say NO to that too.

What will City do then.
Andre Silva or Lukaku ?
Or Calvin Lewin

When has he said he doesn’t want to come here?
Is this to do with the European road trip?

Not publically, nobody would ever do that but I just get the feeling its over.

The whole media circus around him has died off completely which makes me think hes staying. Dortmund securing CL may have sealed the deal for any club this summer. Raiola can let clubs re balance this year and then let them offer him the world next summer when they have the release clause to pay and the rest can go in his back pocket.

If Conte goes there Kane stays imo. Or if not then Conte leaves before season starts. He is not afraid to walk away.
Yep pretty much how I read the situation as well mate. No chance conte takes the spurs job unless he is assured Kane stays. Hs has previously stated when at Chelsea he loves Kane and conte is a big enough appointment to keep Kane happy as well. He is a top 5 manager can’t believe spurs are close to landing him!

Conte is serial winner every where he’s gone he’s won, if Levy gives him funds they will be dangerous he took a inter side who were beyond average and turned them into a title winner, he also took a Chelsea that finished tenth to first in his first season. His 3~4~3 formation is fast attacking counter attack football.

Jose was a finished manager. Conte is a whole different story. Laugh all you want because it’s Spurs but if they do get Conte watching inter this season they were dangerous. If Conte gets Spurs playing like the inter this season. They will challenge top 4 or if he gets the players the title.

So it still basically boils down to money, like Kane.

or Spurs get lukaku to replace Kane?

Even if we put the money on the table for Haaland it doesn't matter if he doesn't want to come here. If we sign Kane then we won't be at the table for Haaland next season anyway so it doesn't matter.

Kane wants to be here and we know the financial situation for spuds.

You’ve already said that with Haaland it’s just a feeling that he doesn’t want to come here.
So it’s still guess work from either side.
Kane could still boil down to money if Levy sets his price too high.
The fact he wants to come here makes it a little easier, but makes no difference if Levy wants too much or decides he’s not for sale.

Agreed but like our own chairman has said all clubs are feeling the pinch of covid. So if our club proposes a good enough deal and kane says he want to leave levy will sell.

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think a deal for Kane is close. Don't think Levy is ready to sell for an acceptable fee. It will be very, very difficult. Those expecting the deal to go through soon after the CL final will be left disappointed.

Unfortunately, I wasn't wrong.

Common sense + logic is the best ITK.

How good of a deal is the question.
£100m - not happening
£150m - maybe, but madness IMO
£200m - absolutely no chance
Unless a side effect of covid is going soft, then I see Levy be as tough to deal with as he’s always been and will probably want £150m upwards.
Conte could yet convince him to stay, at least for another season anyway.

I think we will looking at £120m/£125m including add ons.
