Champions League Final | Travel Requirements + COVID Tests

Not sure if it is row specific or the whole plane?
After having the text and then email just had NHS T&T ring me up. Asked the girl if they had any info on the source and she said they can only see a date. Told her we know it's from a flight based on info on here but she didn't have any of that info. Not surprised but told her I would have been interested to know if it was person next to me or someone 20 rows away.

I was on Flight 15. I didn’t put the track and trace on my phone as I went into total meltdown filling all the forms to actually go. Who’s been contacting people? Dante labs have just confirmed they have and are doing my test from today.

There could be more planes go under as my results are outstanding.

It was like a super spreader event from the beginning. The massive queues at Manchester airport where it started, masks on plane then serving food and drinks so optional in effect, planes crammed with over 200 people, bus to the terminal with 4 times too many people on to follow the rules, the big queues at Porto airport, the huddle before the coach, the coaches all being full, same on the reverse except kept in coaches for hours longer than needed, and no masks at the ground.

The holding people on coaches several hours for a 20 minute journey was the real thing the organisers had under their control which could be avoided for certain. Rather than some over confident Pontins red coat type walking up and down the centre of the coach with no mask, giving another different reason why the coach can't set off.
The buses from the fan zone to the ground were the worst. Wedged in like sardines, sweatier than a wrestler’s jockstrap, and loads of pissed up Blues bellowing out songs without their masks on.

Of note with flights 5 & 15, is that both were heavily delayed. Flight 5 missed its 01:30hrs time slot and then sat on the tarmac for 2hrs 30m until 04:00hrs waiting for a new one, and flight 5 was apparently delayed for 1hr 30m after some prized penis decided to get up and try and use the toilet when the plane was on the runway and about to take off, causing the pilot to abort take off and then wait for a new departure slot

All the contact (text, email, phone call) been from NHS Track & Trace. I assume any private test comapny doing Day 2 tests are obliged to report positive test results. Could be the individual themselves. Can't remember if we had to put our flight numbers on our UK locator forms but maybe traced back thoguht that.

Yeah you did, and your seat number.

If all the systems talk to each other then it should be straightforward enough to put 2 and 2 together and figure out who needs to isolate

Flight 5, Row 37 here. If I've read all the information on the Government website correctly, if you've had symptoms of Covid since the flight and then obtain a negative test you no longer have to self-isolate.

I remeber that now because we didn't know our flight seat numbers in advance and advised to put "unknown" on return flight. Made up number of outbound flight.

Sounds a right ballache. I’d imagine everyone on the flight will be told to isolate.

Looking back, I have to agree that it was indeed a superspreader event. I tried to do my bit by wearing a mask while walking the streets of Porto as did many other blues but once I hit the riverside and got on the pop a lot of that went out of the window as it did for many others.

Where have you read that ? I can't see that anywhere. Only thing I can find it this :-
"You must continue to self-isolate even if your test result is negative. This is because you might still become infectious".
I've just had my Day 2 test result back and negative but already knew I'd still have to isolate.

It's under the heading about if you have symptoms. The section about not having symptoms does say you still have to self-isolate for the reasons you state. I could have misread it though.

I guess that's the key difference, if you are the person who thinks they have it, get tested but turns out to be negative then you are free to go. But for our cases we are all linked to the postive person and have to continure to isolate. But then there is this bit which is our only hope (not holding breath though) :-

"In some circumstances, the person you had close contact with will be asked by NHS Test and Trace to take a follow-up COVID-19 test. If this second test result is negative it is unlikely that they have COVID-19. If this happens NHS Test and Trace will contact you to let you know that you can stop self-isolating".

Forgot about the fanzone to ground one, yeah that was the worst petri dish at 6pm with everyone at their most drunk.

I reckon a lot won't have had test results yet and another one or two planes could be affected on the balance of probabilities. Should know tomorrow I suppose.

my Day-2 test kit only arrived today despite ordering it 10 days ago. completed it and posted it in a priority post box. in theory a day late but nothing i can do when they ship them out so late.

i do have the Track & Trace app but never look at it. for the people on flights 5 & 15, did the app show anything or was it someone phoning from T&T to advise the need to isolate ?

Would have been ironic if it were flight 12!!

seriously though.. fortunately I wasn’t on that flight but if I was and my day 2 test came back as negative I’d be very reluctant to isolate... especially as we’re going away tomorrow and the missus would chop my knackers off if she had to miss her holiday
When I got Covid back in October it took 5 days after contact before I tested positive. I was also on flight 15 but haven’t heard anything yet

I was on flight 15 and some knob did go to the toilet but that was on the way out and it didn’t delay us.

I got a text and an email (don't have app)

I would hope the vast majority on the club flights would have their results by now as the 2 day deadline expired yesterday
