Champions League Final | Travel Requirements + COVID Tests

It makes it even more mental when you consider how thousands were bunched into the airport to get through customs. I was in there for over 2 hours with what seemed like 2 or 3 thousand other people!

That was a joke. No air con either. Covid breeding ground before we even got properly into Portugal.

I was on Porto-Gatwick and then Gatwick-Belfast on Sunday. Coughing neighbouring passenger on the Belfast flight. Test and trace message arrived this afternoon. Supposed to be going on holiday to Scotland on Monday.

The Government requirement for turnaround of these 2 day tests is 72 hours, not sure if that includes date from postage or receiving, however this could mean Saturday until results received.

No point having a 10 day isolation if it takes a week to find out your were supposed to do it. It is a token effort to line the pockets of Boris and Farage types.

Cha ching, 3 tests that’s nearly £200 I wonder why they want that, it’s a big fucking con now.
No, you don't have to pay for NHS tests. You don't even have to go to a test centre. Order online, comes next day, take test post it back and result day after. To be fair NHS testing has been a better service that all the companies that charged us for pre-flight and Day 2 tests.

I find this all a bit weird. I got notified this morning to self isolate being on flight 11.
Been in touch with two mates I travelled with and sat next to on the plane there and back. Spent all day with them. They have heard nothing.
I don’t get it
No surprise, our track and trace has never been any good.

Yet the nhs are buying from someone, so tax money is been spent on them, just like the £37 billion track and trace shit.

The woman who called me this morning said if you provide 3 negative tests prior to day 7 they MAY let you leave then, a few days early but she wouldn't commit to saying that was a definite and said it was a new rule that might change again. She could only say that the person who rings me on day 7 will be able to tell me.

I went to get an nhs PCR test today (so the 2nd test since contact including the day 2 test which was negative) and will do the same Saturday morning assuming that is negative to give myself a chance! Might not work but willing to do it in case
Will lateral flow tests count for this or does it have to be a PCR test?

If a flight is isolating surely the one before and one after it have to also as a safety measure?

As mentioned before these flights mixed together on checking in and on the buses for 20mins heading to fan park.

Anyone know what's the criteria for it? Must be over 30mins in close proximity I'm guessing.

The people of Portugal must be absolutely fuming at their government. Well apart from the owners of those bars at the riverside! They are currently viewing Yachts in Vilamoura harbour!
Our government says it's what we might have brought back. Two reasons:

“One is the positivity rate has nearly doubled since the last review in Portugal and the other is there’s a sort of Nepal mutation of the so-called Indian variant which has been detected.

“We just don’t know the potential for that to be vaccine-defeating mutation and simply don’t want to take the risk as we come up to June 21 and the review of the fourth stage of the unlock."

To stave off the Nepal variant, can we take Himalayan Balsam?

Anyone gone on holiday to Portugal has till Monday night to get home to avoid quarantine.

For anyone waiting on results from Eurofin check your emails just received this , great may know results by the weekend haha

Dear valued customer,

You recently ordered a test-at-home PCR kit from us for your arrival in the UK on 30/05/2021 and submitted your results for delivery to our facility for processing. We are writing to inform you that unfortunately we anticipate that these results may not be delivered to you within the expected timeframe.

Due to the May Bank Holiday this week, there was a pause in Royal Mail collections, which has meant that any kits posted from Saturday 29th onwards will have been collected no earlier than Tuesday 1st. These samples started to arrive at the Eurofins laboratories from Wednesday.

As a result, we have received a very high volume of samples which will take us some time to process. Our target is always to provide results to you within 24 hours of receiving the sample at our lab, but due to the gap in postal collection we wanted to inform you that there may be a delay in receiving your results for day 2 and day 8 tests.

We want to apologise for any inconvenience this will cause. We know how frustrating and uncertain the wait for results can be and that some of you will have posted your kits several days ago. Please be assured we have been working at pace to process this large number of samples from the moment they reached our lab and we anticipate the backlog will be cleared by Sunday.

Please accept our apologies if you’ve tried to contact us and not received a response yet – our team are working hard to respond to everyone. We are already experiencing a significant increase in the number of customer enquiries as a result of today’s changes to the travel traffic light system and expect this to rise further over the next 48 hours as we work to turn around results. We will contact you as soon as your results are available.

Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you,

Eurofins Forensic Services

I think it's the Chelsea variant, I believe it lulls you into thinking you're ok then fucks you up good and proper.
