Jack Grealish

Don't get the diving/cheat comments... He gets a touch and goes down, that's being clever not cheating with todays refs.... Look what happened with foden when he stayed on his feet didn't get the penalty even with VAR! Cheating is throwing yourself down with zero contact. Depends which side of the grealish fence you're on I suppose... If he signs for us I'll guarantee you'll all love him in a blue shirt within 6 months.

I hate it and if we sign him I still wont like it 6th months later

Some of the ‘cons’ put on here make me laugh. Holding onto the ball to long, going down too easily etc. are all things that, if told by a coach to stop then he’ll stop. That’s what footballers do.

Players with us don’t hold onto the ball too long. Mahrez used to them hardly played and now he doesn’t unless he’s attacking his marker.

If Grealish came then he’d be moulded into the player Pep wants him to be so if we’re chasing him then it’s because we recognise attributes in his game that we can mould. Easy as that really.

End of the day he has dived a lot during his career and no one can say otherwise but so do the majority of players aswell apart from Phil foden and look we’re that got him .

It certainly does and from reading comments on this thread not enough people have seen him play very often other than his performances against us. He's a proper player and is trophy hungry which is only ever going to benefit us imo.
Wow. Two major patronising twits.....
Basically, if people don't agree with you they haven't watched. Fed up of this bollocks...
Watched him plenty. Not convinced.

With Villa signing Buendia and after JWP, it looks like they are selling Grealish to somebody.
Don't think it's that straight forward.
I think Buendia is Barkley's replacement, while JWP (if they get him) dove tails McGinn in the midfield.

But they wouldn’t need another Grealish replacement with these two, is the point

I'll quote this next time Salah does his Platoon reenactment against us.

It's shite to watch when it happens to us or when I'm watching a game as a neutral and I'm not going to turn a blind eye just because one of ours does it.

Three Premier Leagues, four Carabao Cups, an FA Cup, our first ever Champions League final and a PFA young player of the year award?

Phil's a better player and his refusal to hit the deck at the slightest contact is one of many reasons for that.

I watch him a lot and in my eyes hes not what we need for circa 100 mil spend, a goalscorer and left back with defensive qualities is all that's required....that's it

Dress it up however you want but he's a cheat. Might not be theatrical but he hits the deck everytime he thinks he'll get a foul. If he was such a great talent he would stay on his feet.

Been going to VP since aged 4. Great great great grandfather won FA Cup with Villa in 1905. Signed long term deal as owners convinced him of approach to fast track to compete for top 6 spots. No Grealish transfer rumour article bothers to mention this
Rooney was a boyhood Everton fan he left them, Harry Kane is a spurs fan, he wants out.
Players with a outstanding ability will want to win team trophies, perhaps Grealish is thinking this .

I watched him the other night against Austria and every single time he got the ball they fouled him
The defender didn’t worry about gaining an advantage by cheating did he??
So why should grealish not go down easy when he thinks he can gain an advantage for his team
I think in our team he would move the ball quicker and be less reliant on free kicks to move up the pitch but either way a foul is a foul
