Scotland at the Euros

Had some family move up to Edinburgh,, we have visited a few times and found all the Scotts we met to be a lovely bunch of people in and around the place.. Very friendly and welcoming..
That said, come one the Czech Republic ;)

Im at work but hoping the boss should let's us away early to watch it at home. He'd be fine with us watching it at work but you'd rather be home watching it with family.

Was going to pull my lad out of school early but just had an email to say they are going to let them watch it in school now so that's good.

I will be hoping Scotland win today, sets up the Friday game nicely.....and I have a ticket to that!!

Well I go into it with my usual low expectation - not just because of the tendency to aim for glorious defeat but the fact that we are lowest ranked team in this group having only got in the tournament because the Nations League playoff was designed so that a team like ourselves or North Macedonia could be there.

Having said that we have a good record against Czechia - although the record was improved by the two games last autumn when they were very Covid affected. So today is our best chance to get something, and that is when we usually blow it. Never mind Friday - this is the most important match - win here and a point in either of the other two should see the silly third place qualify position work in our favour. Big problem is toothless attackers - we need the midfield to come good - cant believe I'm counting on Scott McTominay :-(

I have however messed up by putting the European timings in my diary and I am taking a funeral at 1:15. Funeral should be finished - but how soon I can do the niceties of talk to that family and get them to head off to the wake may be a problem. They know I'm not joining them and why!
 
Good luck to the Scots today. Grandad was Scottish so always want to see you do well. Will be 100% English on Friday though.
