Edinburgh Waverley has apparently been awash with English people on the juice these last few weekends, with people seizing the opportunity to travel up and drink themselves silly. Difference this weekend is that the return package is coming en masse.

Drunken behaviour last night, some lad got down by a motorbike and other stuff.
Sorry don't agree with it, people are cancelling weddings etc and yet thousands can congregate, don't get it.

Joking apart I'm surprised wee Krankie didn't try and curb so many travelling down. I'm not sure what they're going to do as most pubs are on a restricted amount of customers and all the regulars will have booked the tables. There are no fan zones unless some bright spark decides to hastily set one up to get them all in one place.
 
English Hubris is known for creating issues that bite them on the arse.

That's the big problem. It would have been hard enough without reduced capacity in pubs but with it it's going to be impossible for them to get into places. As they get more drunk and frustrated the police will move in and bingo kick off time.

I remember when the Rangers fans piled into Manchester in spite of being told there was to be no live screening. In the end they put some on and when the city centre one failed they wrecked the place. I passed through the city centre at ,6am on the day of the game and there were drunken fans everywhere with loads of rubbish and empty cans and bottles strewn about. I remember thinking that I wouldn't like to be there in a few hours, it was inevitable it was going to turn nasty.
 
The Scots wont give a fuck about the pubs

They will drink any old can of piss just as long as they show up for their cup final nearby

Will be plenty of trouble tonight, the rain may deter a bit but still plenty

How do you think she could have done that? The advice was not to travel. The trains are running, planes are flying, cars can get petrol. People were going to travel. Our problem is many will now return with the new variant and any hope of fans being back for the new season is now a pipe dream. Not to mention another lockdown.
 
There should have been a fan zone. Fucking ridiculous to think only 3,000 would travel. Another balls up in planning.

I said I'm surprised she didn't do something. Who knows? Fetch an emergency 72 hour law in to curb travel without a legitimate reason or something? I'm not sure but isn't the covid bill still in place where such powers can be brought in quickly?

The new variant is probably already there if loads of English have been piling into Edinburgh as another poster claimed. 20,000+ returning from England though won't help.

The problem is if there was one advertised even more would have probably travelled. This happened in Manchester.

Now a wise person would have anticipated huge numbers travelling and had a fan zone ready to go. Once they are all here and congregated get them.bussed into the fan zone.

When you consider it's our first appearance in 23 years, a game against England, and not one **** thought out loud, I think a few might turn up, what do we do with them? Then again, that just sums up the abilities of our current leadership. Useless cunts.
