England v Scotland | Euro 2020 Group Stage

Nothing personal mate, I suppose I just can’t comprehend celebrating a 0-0.

Likewise mate, but seriously probably being English and (I assume) supporting England then I can't imagine a scenario where a 0-0 would be celebrated. But then we're not blessed with the same resources. We've had the best squad we've had in years but most of our top players are defensive in nature. Even Wales have had Bale, Ramsay and ROI with Robbie Keane etc, we've always missed that attacking threat.

Some real basic shite, but we get spoilt supporting City, however what’s the point of playing two defensive midfielders if you aren’t going to give your fullbacks license to get forward?

So clueless it’s untrue.

Not for the first time I’m hoping for England to fail in order to hasten the exit of a useless national team manager.

As a group we have one of the best groups of young attacking players in decades so what does Southgate do? Sets up way too conservative, no creative midfield players. why…

Its fucking Sotland… and he sets up like we’re playing peak Brazil…

and the Scots on here… that pt won’t qualify you... so why celebrate like you’ve won something? Embarrassing all round…
dont wast your time mate,i did the same since McClaren and every manager since has been a waste of time and it will go on and on,who could be the next candidate for the job be,no doubt Moyes would be at the top of the list for his mini revival down at WH,other than that Sean Dyche and thats about it,the FA always give preference to the applicant who comes ready lubed and walks into the interview with his pants around his ankles

Southgate V S Clarke. I mean it doesn't get bigger than that. What a matchup, 2 of the finest managers there is. To be fair, S Clarke did a number on Southgate.
What an era of international football we are living in!
Southgate in charge of England at a time they have some of the best young prospects they have had in years.
Roberto Martinez in charge of Belguim best squad/squads since the 80's.
Nose picker, Sweaty sniffer in charge of the Germans...

And to top it all off FRED starts for Brazil!

Got to love the internationals!

Mount needs to drop deep rather than staying further up. If that’s tactical, it leaves space in the midfield. There’s no one to pass to.
FFS we're at home with a better side (imo) and Mr Tactically Inept plays a back 6 (plus Goalkeeper= 7) which leaves 4 offensive players to get the goals.
Kane was totally isolated, Sterling..... don't get me started, Foden was the best of the shower and the useless big-nosed twat subbed him (watched it with a Jock who pissed himself laughing).
My view of Southgate is not a secret. He is a yes-man without a clue. England will win fuck all with him at the helm. He is safety first, home or away (Grealish was MOTM imho) and I was surprised that he brought him on so early (60th minute), instead of waiting until the 80th+.
Rice was non-existent, as was Calvin Phillips..... 2 defensive mids against Brazil, I get it... against fucking Scotland at home..............oh, and then he brought Rashford on to feed them.... the ball, because he is crap and seriously over-rated. Rant over.

This England team has Leeds WestHam Villa Everton and Spurs players in it, Scotland have players from the United Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea.
Sorry but so does that England team and a more than 1/4 of tonights team were from the English Champions in case you hadn't noticed, while Scotland had a number of Scottish "journeymen" (ie in Scotland) in their team.

Spot-on. A ridiculous formation from Southgate. How was the ball going to reach the front three? They ended up with Pickford lumping the ball up in the air to Sterling, Kane, and Foden. How could they control midfield like that? Rice and Phillips are both excellent players if you need to defend against a stronger team. Foden was the only mobile forward so why take him off? Sterling was poor and Kane's performance was pitiful. England have some fantastic skillful players but Southgate will destroy them.

Fuck me. Can't even beat Scotland. Coming home my fucking arse. Cünts.

I don't think he let Fatty Shaw cross the half way line for the entire game bar his effort that nearly hit the corner flag.
But to make substitutions and continue to play Rice is ridiculous absolutely no need for two holding midfielders the entire game.
Scotland had a game plan a pattern to their play, Adams dropping deep with all the time in the world to pick out the wrong backs bombing forward.
In some ways tonight they reminded me of Sheffield United under Wilder using the left and right sided centre backs to go forward as well as the full back and Che Adams playing the David McGoldrick role.

England don't have a game plan nor do they have a pattern of play, It's just make it up as you go shite.

I don't see many sticking up for Southgate after that pos...

Nice chap, does the fluffy stuff well, very limited as a manager.

the breath of fresh air as he was describe here on BM after banging in 4 or whatever agains Moldova back in his early days,,he's looking to do a Greece and win it by chance and luck, so many talented players its possible but very unlikely, he's a Burnley manager at best,no idea other than kick and hope,i have no doubt England will progress and they may even fluke it to the quarter finals and thats it after that game over as usual
