they’re not both defensive midfielders.

Mount doesnt play there for Chelsea and neither does Grealish or Foden for their clubs.

Henderson would play if fit, and the other option Bellingham is 17. its the best option we have

It's where we're really short unfortunately. Che Adams is a step up, but I'd like to have seen a Leigh Griffiths career where he wasn't battling mental health issues. He's a talented player but sadly it's not really happened the way it should have for him.

Southgate doesn't seem to like players that can create something out of absolutely nothing.
To be honest it would suit the England team more if Foden weren't to play! Simply because Southgate is a shit anti football **** and Rashford wouod be more suited to his shit kick and rush football.
Foden brain even at his young age is on a different planet to that entire squad.

i cant jump on the Foden bandwagon tonight sorry. he wasnt much cop when he got the ball and his best work was tracking back.

We’ve got three players Sterling Foden and Grealish who all play left wing. one of them has to move if you want two of them on the pitch.

I agree, I would keep Phillips and drop Rice, but I think this England has a serious structural problem and the main issue is with Southgate himself unfortunately. And then there is Kane who is turning into a square peg in a round hole, with him upfront there is no way we can even start thinking about persistent high press, the cue our best performances were in the first 10 minutes of both games. Take him out and we have many more combinations with five up front and much more dynamic ones. But I gave up it's going to happen and we are going to continue reading articles where Kane cut a lonely figure and was isolated instead that he was crap.
 
England aren't fluent or slick enough in attack. Croatia game was the same, they were solid in midfield with Rice and Phillips giving away nothing, and the defence looked secure, but going forward they were flat. How many times to the front 3 link up or does Mount get forward and link the play?

To be fair, we’d just been promoted and United were at their peak.

This England team has Leeds WestHam Villa Everton and Spurs players in it, Scotland have players from the United Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea.
