looks like gammons all across social media who were looking forward to GB News showing the overpriced BBC how its done are a bit unhappy when its pointed out that £60m probably makes Heineken a glossy advert that will play before and after the Euro 2020 final and at half time and in fact their much awaited "attack on the MSM" is a 3 ringed circus with no ringmaster. Its not gaffes - its undercooked its unprofessional and unwatchable. The fact that it has created a twitter account that documents its failing many times a day - for there are that many - yet very few successes to counter them.

In many ways it fails on many levels - the so called MSM isn't overpriced - thats what it costs to produce and deliver quality content. Turns out that the so called MSM is far more balanced than they say. What they manage to put out is a repeat of what they put out an hour earlier. Things like an attack on Stonewall - classy. Its a channel for the Leave generation and in that respect it works well given that it transpires that Brexit was undercooked unprofessional under researched and undeliverable....
......and yet here we are. A centre / left so intent on navel gazing, in-fighting, tweeting and congratulating itself that we end up with BJ, brexit , and GB news.

I think that is a low-blow. I have great respect for Stonewall & always have, but it has got itself embroiled in a toxic row. Matthew Parris, one of Stonewall’s 14 founders, wrote in the Times that the charity has been "cornered into an extremist stance" on the subject of trans rights. He argued that Stonewall should stay out of the issue, sticking to LGB rights without the T. I agree with him.

As regards Brexit, lets look at it in five years time, not six months after the event - it was always going to take several years to untangle ourselves from a 40 year project.

Finally, on GB News too, give it six months to settle down and then we should make a judgement, six days is premature. Because of the Euros I've only watched a bit & some stuff has been well done and not click-baity as I expected. They do need to get the sound sorted though! Also one show is called Dewbs & Co. but I always see it as Dweebs & Co. Don't know why!

a country vs a city - is this fair?

Is it not easier for folk to simply look at @GBNewsFails on twitter if they are interested rather than you re-posting everything on here? Not trying to shut you down btw as I find your opinions and thoughts interesting, but becoming the propaganda mouthpiece of what is clearly a single issue agenda driven twitter acct is not really debate is it?
Show a little more respect and let people make their own minds up. I think you are probably correct in your opinions on GBN btw, but generally folk can make their own minds up I think - if they are actually arsed enough to watch it at all that is.

if it bothers you don't click on the thread. Not everyone is on Twitter.

Is it more 'dangerous' than fox or Russia today though? - I think not personally.

Have you ever watched RT? They give greater editorial freedom to topical shows than places like the BBC.

I have never bothered with any of their news output but the shows that give room for academics to find a wider audience are worth a watch.

I have watched some of GBNews and I can't see anything of similar quality. Never any serious discussion, just red top columnist style rants and all from the same studio (RT shows have their own branding).

I watch quite a lot of their documentary style reports on youtube. Brilliantly done, and a great way of gaining a different perspective - so long as you are aware of the clear Russian State influence and agenda behind it. No I don't see similar qualities in GBN which from the little I have seen appears to be a bit crap, and as you say a red top in tv form.
Having said that, I see nothing more harmful in GBN than said red tops. Would the world be better without them - probably?, but I see more danger in a society that seeks to shut them down rather than one that largely chooses to walk on by and leave them to appeal to their diminishing audience.

Its not a governmental agenda but it is run with an agenda set by owners who don't come from GB, don't live in GB and have no history with GB. I wonder what their agenda is?

Sad truth is you could say that about most things in this country, and especially the media.
Stir up the working class by blaming everything on ‘foreigners‘ whilst standing by and watch everything being sold to a different set of ‘foreigners‘ in the name of capitalism.

It’s basically 24/7 loose women. Morons passionately but poorly discussing the “outrageous” vox pop of the day.

The ITV2 of news channels.

The race to the bottom continues.

I assume this is the same Carole Cadwalladr who in 2018 exposed the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data 'scandal' in relation to the Brexit referendum? Well I say scandal, but did anyone call it a 'scandal' in 1960 when JFK utilised TV better than Richard Nixon and won that campaign? Does anyone look back on 2008 and say, "Oh, that Barack Obama, he only won that election by using the t'internet better than John McCain?"...

So when I see Carole Cadwalladr tweeting stuff like this, the phrase "well, she would, wouldn't she..." springs to mind.
