loans not for his contract. It’s for the amount of money they owe Ajax, Liverpool , Atletico and Dortmund

The financial disaster that the previous regime oversaw probably means no end of debts have gone unpaid. I bet Laporte is inundated with final demands…. I wonder how much they owe the present playing squad including Messi? It was rumoured that wage deferrals had taken place and if I was a player owed money - I’d want my money before I saw the club started to sign new players etc….

The Spanish FA should insist all players are paid up before any more signings are allowed.

So, their debt keeps growing, Messi has still not signed, they are busy taking loans but Laporta is salty because he didn't get Wijnaldum...

With Aguero there, i guess he will still renew. All that stuff past summer was just Messi bluffing to get Bartomeu out it seems.

I'm now convinced you are correct about the bluff, two more years ruling the club on crazy money and then off to Miami.

Or all that pent up anger from the way he's been treated in the last year sees him wait till June 30th to pocket that 40m loyalty bonus, make a goodbye video to the fans and fuckoff into the man city sunset on 300k a week.

Maybe

I think that Laporta has probably repaired a lot of the emotional damage cause by Bartomeu

From what I understand laporta is expecting players to accept massive pay cuts. Messi would be absolutely nuts to stay and accept that after everything that went on. He hates Koeman so would be forced to stay playing under him for significantly less money.

For all his unhappiness over everything nothing has actually changed except for the president ? If anything conditions will actually be worse because they are going to be saddled with even more debt, a very underwhelming manager who he still blames for Suarez being sold btw. If he's not signing with a massive increase then he may as well let laporte slap him in the face with a wet trout on the steps on the nou camp with the whole world watching.

I'm not convinced he would want to sacrifice his lifestyle for a move Manchester even for Pep. Miami with its huge Spanish speaking population is obvious but the North West of England, I'm not buying it.

Not sure he's ready for Miami yet. In 2 years maybe and he was more than willing to come 6 months ago
