Kane is on the same level as Mane and Vardy, and below Aguero and Salah. Even arguably useless Sterling in 2 of the last 3 seasons.

Not sure why the obsession to argue he has to be proclaimes the absolute best. If you really want it so bad, he is the best English striker, that plays centrally, under the age of 30 over the height of 5.4 feet.

I was expecting him to rip Hungary apart last night, but he was left trailing in the wake of that Hungarian who headed in their second goal. His whole performance last night was quite lacklustre.

That's not the way I read it. I understood it to mean we'd be prepared to wait a year for a striker. Could be anyone. Probably would no longer be Kane. This could be simply mind games by City, leaking a rumour like that.
