Nonsense. Every time JG has played against us you are generally worried once he receives the ball and starts driving forward and dictating the tempo. He has been fantastic a servant for Villa. You do his game a huge disservice IMO.He's not.
We're a completely different kettle of fish, unlike anything he's ever experienced. His game is to hog the ball as much as he can, give it away reluctantly (to his teammates) and thus slowly, and look pretty - all in a mid-table team (at best).
Lots of nice little flicks and tricks, no look passes. Great stuff for Youtube..... not so much for a team with our level of talent and yearly ambition. We sign him and he's going to be in for the shock of his life, realising he's not the talisman or allowed to hold onto the ball as much as he usually does.

Interesting Sterling only has 1 season with a lower G&A than Grealish (which would be higher except for the 7-2 against Liverpool), and he’s only 1 year older, but Grealish is suddenly a £100mil player and Sterling needs binning.Can't see anyone paying for Sterling. They'd be holding face to face meetings with his agent who would speak to Grealish during one of the 22 hours a days he's not training with England but just hanging round a hotel.

Mahrez was a more noted goalscorer, having been arguably the most valuable player in a team that managed to win a title. He's also more a winger who generally stays on the wing.
Jack Grealish........ has basically had two good seasons in the Prem, for a team that finished 17th and 11th. He also often picks the ball up deep and in central positions, holding onto it for a lifetime. Something that will never, ever wash in a team coached by Guardiola, and filled with the likes of De Bruyne, Foden, Bernardo, Gundogan, Fernandinho, etc, etc. Players who are better than he is, basically.

I want us to sign Grealish, Kane, Haaland, Bellingham, and Saka. Not because I'm a greedy self-entitled twat - I just want to see the piss-boiling amongst opposition fans reach unprecedented levels. I want the likes of SER19 and Cuntanoid on Red Cafe to have their miserable football supporting lives ruined forever more because plastic twats like them who spend all their time on the internet using City as a diversionary tactic for the utterly shite way their club has been run over the past decade deserve to be condemned to a lifetime of utter misery. If they were even just half the fans that we've been throughout our years of being utter dogshit then they'd embrace the current status quo and get on with it. Starting to sound like a few media outlets jumped the gun on this one. Still expect it to get done but don’t think it’s as close as the early reports are suggesting. Villa offering grealish a new contract is an interesting development but doubt it will change his mind

Usual stuff. A reputable Daily Mail source suggesting it’s as good as done for 100 mill.
Now other sources saying it’s not true and will sign an improved contract with Villa.
I saw a stats article a month ago suggesting that in terms of one player being the most important player to the club he is currently at it was far and away Grealish. So his correct fee might be 80 mill but to Villa he’s worth 150 mill. They will be desperate to keep him but might also need money.
