I can't imagine, with their viewing figures, the channel will be generating much income. Yeah, they're banging on about having more viewers than the BBC and Sky, but as with all desperate right wing nut jobs, the truth is hidden behind the headlines. 90,000 viewers compared to the BBC News channel and the Sky News channel.
There aren't many people watching news channels in the UK. Their foreign backers, and the irony of that makes me laugh, perhaps expected more, but very few people in the UK watch dedicated news channels. The main BBC news bulletins at 6 PM and 10 PM attract around 3.5 million viewers, which in itself is a minority in a population of 68 million or so. Others will watch ITV and Channel 4, but the point remains.
The channel is nothing more than a comfort blanket for the easily annoyed that find thinking difficult.
I've watched it a couple of times, and there isn't much to recommend it given it's dreadful production, backdrop and sound quality.
90,000 viewers, eh? Wow. It's almost as many people that will soon be buying the Daily Express.
