Oh and Foden will be on the bench, only to be brought on with 10 mins to go when we are losing, as probably will need a scapegoat to throw to the media when he can't turn the game around. Well that's Tuesday sorted !

It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't start Phil....that alone should be a sackable offence.

Yep i agree.

Reports say Southgate's contract will be extended, the 'yes men' must be happy.

I doubt he will competely change his defensive mindset either and we'll struggle unless he makes positive changes or we up our game by 90%.

I expect us to lose, probably on penalties

I note the clamour by the media to get their man into the England team, worse being Sky’s never-ending footage and interviews with Grealish.

Will Southgate have the stones to play who he thinks will be the best team or will he cave and give them what they want?
 
Probably the wrong thread but, if BFS hadn't gone and done a Hancock and got caught, would England be in a better position and would there more confidence in the way we should play?
I know it's only ifs and buts, but.....

I think Southgate all but confirmed this when he said Mount and Foden were the two players on set pieces and how that impacted the Czech Republic game. That's why Foden was rested because with Mount isolating, he needed to be 100% sure Foden was available for this game.
 
Southgate will be pleased, this is the very game he’s been practicing with 2 DM’s for. It will be just bad luck if the Germans realise this and adjust their game plan as a result.....

If only we’d have had the time and the opposition to practice other formations...oh well.
