Err, have you not read the thread?
According to most posters he's the fucking messiah. Also nothing like Hazard.
Lol.

Most Bluemoon poster’s: I think Grealish could really do a job for us.

Other Bluemoon poster with a different opinion: He is not the Messiah.

Most Bluemoon poster‘s goes back to double check what they wrote.

This myth Manchester is a reason players don't come here or leave is as stupid as can be

How many top class players have played for us , the rags and the scousers? And where do most live during those years? Manchester /Leafy cheshire.

A few players every so often don't settle well, that's understandable, when I worked abroad every year we had maybe a dozen seasonal workers get homesick within week(s) and fuck off home.

Not everyone adapts to new places, no matter the place.

Also the it's cold and wet bollocks, it pisses down in france and Paris all the time so that don't seem to bother neymar and mbappe too much and Manchesters average rainfall is less than Barcelonas
Where do you get this from?

I had a quick look ie typing average rainfall in Barcelona/Manchester

Precipitation. Barcelona has on average only 55 precipitation days a year, therein average several rainy days per month (≥ 1 mm), ranging from 2 in July to 6 in October. The average annual precipitation is less than 640 mm (25 inches), ranging from 20 mm (0.79 inch) in July to 91 mm (3.58 inch) in October.

Manchester, England is doled out an average of 810 mm (31.9 in) of rainfall per year, or 67.5 mm (2.7 in) per month. The driest weather is in February when an average of 50 mm (2 in) of rainfall (precipitation) occurs. The data shows it rains at least a little bit on 151.7 days a year, on average.

The other thing I would add, we have all been to Spain on holiday and the skies have opened and flooded the streets, an hour later you wouldn't even know it had rained, over here it is wet all day long lol

Out of interest as anybody heard Grealish say he wants to leave Villa?

Rare that it is nowadays but he may well just be happy playing for the club he loves and supports, would you have left City for anybody in the same scenario?

I know I wouldn't have. (not that I was lucky enough to be given that choice lol)
Asking to leave costs a player big money in the loss of loyalty bonuses etc.

So no, you won't hear Grealish, Kane or co asking for a move.

Like last season the desperately unhappy Messi would not force the issue in leaving Barca because he would lose a bundle of cash.

A vast majority of footballers are greedy bastards at the end of the day, medals are wanted but cash is wanted even more , other than a select few.

A fair point, I keep forgetting how greedy they are, ie Messi net worth around $600m I mean, you wouldn't want to lose out on another 5,10, 50m but actually get to do what you want (cough, as if he ever wanted to seriously come to City, using ****)

The rainfall claim was bollox but the continent does have colder winters at a comparable latitude.
France, Belgium, Germany and Holland, as examples, a effin freezing in winter.

Messi did ask to leave though didn’t he? Thought that’s what the Burofax was. The thing he didn’t do was take them to court over the date in his contract which is exceptional circumstances.

I do get your point, though - I doubt we’ll see Kane or Grealish hand in transfer requests which is probably why most ‘I want to leave’ stuff now comes in interviews rather than formally to their club.

Not really trying to compare Grealish. Just speculating how he impacts the balance in the side. He is not a direct replacement for Bernardo and puts a squeeze on Raz and Phil's position.
Fair enough but if he comes I could see Pep playing him in the middle, plenty of energy and reasonable pace, something we lack.

Freezing cold agreed, but not damp and constant grey clouds you can almost touch for months on end.

He thought he could leave, Barca disagreed , so he probably would have had to go to the courts, he would not do that , he claimed he loved his club too much, I would say more like it would have cost bundles of cash in lawyer fees and the probability he would lose the case.

Even now as a free agent, with only 1-2 seasons playing at the highest level, if he is so unhappy, go and play for those couple of seasons at a reasonable wage, give a little back, he and his family have become incredibly rich, rich enough where money should not be an issue at the very end of your top flight career.

Whilst understanding the need to freshen up the squad we are going to have to sell as well.We always get shafted when we are the selling club.Lets say we are going to sell Sterling which elite club will pay us 70 to 80 million he aint going to Spurs so forget that.
Mahrez is worth at least what we paid as are Bernado and Laporte.
Jesus got to be 50 to 60 million all the elite clubs except Psg are skint so knowing us we will loan with the option to buy Italian clubs favourite way of buying. This is why we will only be buying one of Kane,Grealish or Haaland.

Dryness and lack of water presents its own problems, Alf. Several times in the past we considered a holiday home on Greece or even a permanent move. City were a major factor but our weather good or bad and the difference between our seasons caused us to just stick to holidays (when allowed).
The sight of rolling hills covered on snow and the crunch of boots in fresh snow.
Spring with its huge range of green buds emerging plus the various blossoms.
Summer is pretty good and it's getting warmer.
Then Autumn with all its colours and kicking the fallen leaves underfoot in the Lakes and Peak District even streets and public parks.
I read something about Bernie spending time in the beautiful nature places in UK. So it can't be too bad for him;)
Having said all that l will be glad to get back to Greece in Spring and early Autumn each year even though there is little change throughout the year.

No I agree with all of that. Just that he did in fact ask to leave last Summer

How often does any player publicly come out and say they want to leave the club where they've come through the ranks and become a club legend?
