Qualification groups have been a piece of piss. Along with favourable tournament groups.
If England had been put in Group F he'd be announced as Spurs manager instead of Nuno by now.
I don't think he will ever get this national team playing to its full potential.
Who gives a shit if they're playing to their potential if they've got a chance of winning tournaments?
No one plays to their potential in International football. When France won the world cup, people in France complained they played defensive football despite having Griezmann, Mbappe, Coman & co. When Portugal won Euro 2016 by winning 1 game in the entire tournament in 90 mins, people in Portugal asked if that was really the best they could play. Spain won in 2010 and they only managed more than 1 goal vs. Honduras.
Big countries never play to their potential because it takes months of day in, day out work to develop the kind of attacking patterns and relationships to break down defences playing beautiful football. What doesn't take much work? Sticking 8 players in 2 banks of 4 and drilling them into a solid shape.
That's why we like International football by the way - if teams played to their potential then there'd be very little variance in winners. As it is, small countries like Denmark or Greece or Chile or Wales can have a good tournament and get to the semi's or final by knocking out bigger and better sides with some average players drilled well.

Come on Denmark. Don't give a damn who wins the final since Spain is out. I'd support England if Foden and Grealish are on the lineup but fat chance that professional chancer and third rate coach Southgate would put out a creative lineup.

Hoping for an entertaining, close game but suspect it will be a bit dull and a fairly comfortable England win.
Denmark will not be a walkover and I think they will score tonight. However, with home advantage I think England will just shade it, possibly in extra time. Hopefully all the City lads will continue to shine and it would be good if Foden could get some game time.

Saka is a good young player he is not close to been world class . To play him instead of. Sancho, Grealish, Rashford or Foden is just ... Well I can not understand it my eyes and everything I know about football having watch it alot for 40 year's tell me he is not as good as those guys simble as
