There's a reason Italy and Germany are so successful at international football. I think it's partly down to the way their support lets the team play pragmatically.

We're not good enough to win trophies by playing the best football. But we have a good enough team to win trophies playing a certain way IMO.
 
Not specifically about the team or the tactics but I have a view as to how come England are progressing well this tournament: because of Covid-19 they have formed a tight-nit bubble :) and there doesn't seem to be the distraction of the wives and girlfriends from previous tournaments. Actuallly, I don't remember the WAGs from Russia in 2018 to be honest and that was pre-Covid. Team spirit/team cohesion whatever you want to call it seems to be the best its ever been this time.
