There was another story on BBC about him sending a kid a PS5 yesterday i think. Not knocking ever what people do for Charities etc but its like Beckham and he cannot do anything without a PR team needing to do a press release. I am sure many others do lots for charity below the radar and never seek attention from the media for doing it
For some reason, I read that as stating that he has sent a kid a P45. I immediately thought what a callous bastard!

I trod that very same path around 15 years earlier! In those days, it was a Bents Gartsides pub. Then across to the Foresters, where I had a tankard, then the Beau Geste, the Ashton, the Caledonian, Yates', etc, then back to Heywoods chippy near the Burlington (my mate lived next door to the pub), then onto Katherine street for the last bus to the Moss -the bus stop was next door to my house - with my supper still hot!
And beer at 1/8d a pint and return bus fare 2d, before this new fangled decimalisation came in.
Ha, our local was the Moss Side on Portland St. weekends we'd go Moss Side, Gatefield, Burlington, Star, Foresters, Caven, a few in the centre maybe including Old Yaults, Feathers, Caledonian finishing in the Angel then into the Memory Inn or to Heywoods chippy if we didn't fancy a rough club for a couple of pastie's for the 15 min stagger home.

Part of me wants the club to announce Messi/Kane/Grealish signing for a combined fee less than Mbappe to PSG to see their piss boil.
Sorry I might be late to this but are they quoting something Pep said at a press conference that he said in April?

Once went in the Aldi on Dean Street, and said to a lady a lot older than me (I'm now 71!) that the last time I came in here it was called Gatefield school. She said "you're going back a bit". I said "yes, I left in 1961 to go to Ashton Grammar"!

Walks into reminiscence thread, turns around and walks out slowly ;-)

Also Ashton GS late 70's, lived on Dean St. facing the church with my parents from being a kid until moving in with Mrs Moon.

Just about remember the Gatefield school think it became a car showroom a bit later.

I dont know if that's the same headline if Henderson earns the penalty. Maybe. Probably not though right?
Why the hell would they put it out there that we have had a lucky one go our way? I realise the ref for the final probably won't see that, but why take the chance?

Are they so self absorbed?

Yes, I know the answer to that question.

Sky player ratings, Walker 6, Stones 6, Foden 6, Henderson 7, Trippier 7, Sterling 8, Maguire 8, Sako 8, Philips 8. Interesting.

Mind you, Shaw 6 too.

Sterling just got England to final and they still won’t to give him stick it was a penalty! All those dodgy pens the scum got you never ever got the media saying it was a dive! Media hate praising city players
They are caught between praising him and yet calling him out as a diver,I wonder if it was Kane or someone else would they be talking about it like they are ..

There's a huge amount of football bandwagon jumpers around the country. The media are trying to ensure they become Redshirts fans.
Red legs Good
Blue legs Bad
Red legs Good
Blue legs Bada
as Orwell sort of said.
