England v Denmark | Euro 2020 Semi Final

It was a bit soft the pen but the freekick they scored from was too(wasn't a foul) and the one on Kane before it would probably have been given in a CL match.

Denmark will feel hard done by but I think they will see it was no robbery in the long run. The rest of Europe really doesn't want England to win, I could already sense that before the game and it's not just Irish and Scottish fans but I don't see that doing anything but galvanising the players and the support.
 
For a few golden minutes in extra-time England actually had a team on the pitch that I think most right-minded football fans would agree was the best we have: with Sterling and Grealish and Foden and eight others.

Then he took Grealish off and we looked a bit wobbly and he can't have been tired, cos he was a sub himself!

Having said all of that, I was gutted in 2018 when we lost to Croatia & I wondered if I would ever see England in a big final and now I will. So well done, but please, on Sunday, give it a go: I would rather we went all out with the flair players and lost than try to match up the Italians and play it safe, cos we will probably still lose anyway.

No Guts, No Glory! (& footballs coming home.)

Our central midfield lost control of the game in the first half. We were too slow in possession and in winning it back. Do that against Jorginho and Verratti and Italy could sustain it for more than just half an hour like Denmark did.

But I thought our passing in extra time in midfield was brilliant. Thought Henderson and Foden had much more positivity about them

Also, their goal came from an equally soft free kick, so it evens itself out.

yeh mate write the Beckham and rooney love in with England off,i never watched our national side while it was all about them,,never did fuck all apart from Beckhams free kick against Greece and fucking Rooney whats he ever done apart from sell England shirts to rag scum,one thing about waistcoat he fired Rooney off from the start,now lets go and get your revenge

England were the better team and deserved to win but I think that was won on individual quality(Sterling and Kane in particular) because Denmark had the better teamplay going forward IMO. Maybe it's because their best 11 has been settled for longer and England still don't know theirs. Our interchanging looks less cohesive than Italy and Spain have looked at their best, maybe Southgate has been saving the best for last though. Without Sterling and Kane tonight(no not 9 men), I think we may have been overwhelmed and lost that game.
