Hope to fuck there is no trouble tonight. Some of the scenes on social media are worrying.
Sadly that's inevitable. Whether we win or not merely dictates the level of trouble we see not if we see it. If we win, we can expect more mild criminal damage and vandalism, if we lose, expect it to descend more into fighting and low level looting/rioting.

You'd like to imagine the police are well prepared but I doubt it.

Have to put myself in the not to bothered about international football. Just hope our players play well and aren’t at fault for losing. Gutted for Phil being injured.
Another one not bothered but spending their time telling everyone else they're not bothered.

Lol why don't you guys go watch eastenders or something? Why you hanging around here?

Makes me laugh all the negative noise I have seen from blues, regarding England, over the last few weeks. 25\30 years ago, we were all ecstatic if White or Curle got a call up to the squad. Now with 3 City players about to start in a major final for England, it's just diatribe from Blues. It's remarkable how the noise permeating from blues on here, is the same shit that came out of rag fans mouths, when they were winning everything.
Surely you understand why though? Our club football is so much better and more exciting then England, and we win trophy after trophy. Same with United back then.

With the club v country thing, for me it’s the fact that club plays every week (during the season), in fact sometimes 2 even 3 times a week whereas country only every few months so I don’t get the same ‘attachment’ to it. I like to watch football as much as possible so club comes first so I can invest in it. :-)

Mate on a WhatsApp group went down this morning with his lad. He's a seasoned blue, goes European aways & says he's never felt so intimidated at an English football ground as he is right now. He is close to calling it quits with 2 tickets in his pocket. The whole place is a shitstorm at the minute.

Shit, this is not going to end well is it?

Because not bothered isn’t the same as not interested, for me anyway. I’d like them to win, and I ‘d like our players to win it.
Just won’t be concerned if they don’t.
Mind you thinking back. I lost some interest in England when I lived in London and went to a fair few England games, and realised I don’t like a lot of the fans that go to England games.

I was hoping raz and foden to get on the score sheet but gutted for him .
Hope he gets the medal and enough sun basking fully recharged for new chapter.
Come on raz score the hattrick .

He isn't even on the bench pal

Oh No! I'm gutted about that - I was hoping the 'foot injury' was a smokescreen to keep the Italians guessing.

Talking of which, one paper going crazy that Sky Sport revealed the England team 4.5 hours before kick-off, a potential benefit to Italy and i'm with them on that.

I'd be cancelling my Sky (if I had it)!

Should have run back and got 16 miles in.

Only you would say that, haha!!
I apologise, I'm 'newish' here and I was a bit rude to you earlier. I'm just a bit giddy about the whole thing and I can't understand why not everyone is feeling as I do and getting behind England.

Nothing will top May 2012 for me, ever - but this tonight, could come close, especially if Sterling scores the winner!

Regarding: 'I didn't pick Manchester City, Manchester City picked me.' I suppose I'm similar - my Uncle was a City fan and he bought me a City shirt for my 4th birthday & I'm just grateful he wasn't a Utd. fan. Well now I am, in the 90's and noughties, not so much!

I wasn't offended, no biggie, bud, enjoy your night.

Whatever the result, I'll turn the telly off at the end and already be counting the days down to City playing again.

I once had the misfortune of going to Old Trafford to watch England v Denmark when Wembley was being built.

The most inane, knuckle dragging experience of my 45 years watching football.

And that was just the football!

Wonder if Phil will get a medal should we win tonight. You’d hope so, but it’s a unique situation. 26 man squads, 23 on match days.
