Well Ukraine apart I thought we looked pretty crap/rank average from match 1. Not remotely surprised we lost, just a bit surprised it took Italy untill extra time to do it.

I'm just a bit gutted I didn't put a few Bob on my pre-tournament prediction of Italy bearing England in the final :-(

WTF? Waistcoat may be a rank choice, but the team has reached the semi-finals in the last two tournaments. Tonight the manager well and truly showed his limitations. The squad however can go further.

Shaw, Stones, Slab, Walker, Trippier, Phillips and Rice all good. Italy had a plan to nullify Raz and it worked. Kane started well and faded. Mount was gash.

All of this is accurate I think. Was surprised when Saka came on instead of Grealish and was surprised to see Mount out there for so long too. Think Southgate should have made that sub earlier.

For me I am not sure it could be worse as I hold City and England on an even footing. Frustrating watching the second half but as for penalties I guess Mr Waistcoat was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. Pretty much a situ where either choice could have resulted in a negative outcome ..sniff. Second half we were nullified.

They didn't, the manager did. But agree with the rest. 34%possession of course our attacking players looked shit. Mount btw was awful for every minute he spent on the pitch this whole tournament, apart from a corner against the Ukraine.

was going to say that. All on Southgate..as funny as it is that it was utd players missing.. you don’t bring on players without a feel for the ball to take a pen. Just 5/7 mins to get a few touches and feel involved. Was harsh.

Saka was the ones though.. never let a child with no clutch game experience decide a tournament from the spot.. especially when he clearly looked nervous pretty much every second he was on the field during our last two games. Top level madness.

We have loads of attacking players, but what we don't have is a central midfielder who can dictate the tempo like David Silva, Jorghino, Modric, Busquets etc. A player who will receive, move, pass, receive, move, pass. Until we do, we'll underachieve and never be able to exploit the attacking talent at our disposal.
