Would have preferred to lose "having a go" during the game, and although the manager has done well with team spirit and togetherness it is clearly not enough. We have a good young squad going forward, just need the right man in charge.

After the bonus of the early goal England went back into their shell and his failure to change things was ultimately always going to end in a loss or the penalty shoot out lottery.
