Roberto Mancini

I'm with Rascal on this one, I'm friends with someone who is related to a team player who played during Mancini's reign and believe me, he upset so many players ( Kompany, Silva, Hart) to name just a few, it was either him or them that left... Thank god it was Mancini.

Well considering it was as bad as you make out, seems strange that Silva would interact often with Mancini on Instagram by liking his posts even after all these years including yesterday.

Everyone seems to have known a certain someone who was privy to all this at the time, it’s like the modern day York away.

It was a media campaign that suited us at the time, even on here there was much disruption in their cause. We had just taken the mantle from United with Mancini being their main err.

Mancini didn’t want the new hierarchy in place and we had to abide by new legislation with FFP. Perfect storm, whipped up not only by the media, but by many who made a few quid by reporting on the Blues.

That's bollocks. I know for a stone cold FACT that David Silva thought the world of Bobby when he was in charge, and most likely still does.

As for Kompany and Hart... Let's just say that the dressing room was a much better place when they weren't in it. Snides.

Roberto Mancini won the FA Cup and the Premier League for the first time in decades.

I think some people have forgotten we'd not won trophies for decades when he arrived and were nowhere near winning anything. Winning the FA Cup was amazing and NOTHING will EVER compare to the Aguero goal.

Do you think United fans would ever be angry with Fergie how he treated Stam, van Nistelrooy etc? No chance. I don't know why so many are happy to see his name tarnished. You need to watch that QPR game again. THAT is what Roberto Mancini is about.

He is an absolute living legend.
I have forgotten nothing.

I am not angry at him, I do not hate him, I do not loath him, I am not ungrateful for what he achieved, I merely stated I was not unhappy to see him go because it is my belief his tenure had run its course and we needed better than him.

We got better than him, much better than him in the end.

So Stephen Ireland who was mentally weak throughout his career and James Milner? Is that it? Or you including chappy on that as well?

I’d rather listen to serial winners and elite mentality players like Yaya Toure, David Silva and Sergio Aguero who have nothing but praise for him than some moddy coddled pampered stars who were no longer good enough for where the club was going thanks to Mancini.

It’s a blight on his reputation that I am absolutely sick of hearing.

So what if he upset a few people, he also upset the man who was famous for not giving a shit at upsetting people down the road, that shit is never used as a stick to beat him with.
You don't have to listen or read it. I only posted an article I read.

I have a different opinion to you that is all.

My opinion is I was not unhappy to see him leave. That is not a blight on his reputation or a slur on the people who hold him in Godlike status either.

He might have eaten babies on toast with brown sauce for all I care but he’s the guy that knocked the Piss Can off his fcukin perch.

Oh yes, and he signed Aguero, Merlin and Yaya.

And engineered the sick swan

And 93:20.
No no no - All those things happened in spite of him.

Do keep up at the back...........

I'll never understand the hate from some fans about Mancini, I loved him, he'll always be remembered for me as the manager that put Fergie in his place and won us the league. So many great memories and imho he was treated like shit before the Wigan Final
He made this club into winners before we were satisfied to make up the numbers, for doing that, putting Ferguson in his place and tearing down that banner, I will be forever grateful.

Pep is a better coach/manager but as a man, Roberto is THE man.

What happened with "Chappy"? one minute he is the star of the web site, next thing never seen again.

If anything shows how divisive Mancini could be, it's got you calling the most decorated Captain in our history a snide.
Loved the player, dislike the person. Just because players are icons doesn't make them nice people.
That's nothing whatsoever to do with Mancini - he had to work with the variety of characters and personalities he was given.
If you had ever worked in management, you'd know that.

And as I have said, just because Managers are icons that also doesn't make them nice people.

As I have been in management I know that.

So you've named Three and already one of those loved Bobby, ask your mate for some more names. Suprised no ones mentioned he handed his notice in the day after we won the Title yet, Wasn't there a few Bluemoon posters who witnessed it alongside Khaldoon?
