Just throwing it out there, Atletico mentioned they wouldn't be interested in a straight player swap for Felix...

Could they be interested in a 2 for 1? Rodri and Bernardo for him. Overpaying, ofcourse, but it fills a needed spot.

Bissouma, Grealish and Felix. Looks pretty good on paper.

We never pay astronomical prices for players, let's face it, the likes of Haaland and whatnot always seems to go to United/Chelsea... so might need to be creative with it.

Atletico have just signed a midfielder - rodrigo de Paul - so may not be interested in Bernardo

They wouldn't want Rodri either given how he left the club in just a year, his relationship with Simeone wasn't good either. Felix could become available given how the Griezmann saga plays out, there are reports of Simeone wanting him back and the player also wanting to return.

Thats more likely to be a Saul replacement, they still want Bernardo Silva as a wide midfielder
Someone's gotta buy Saul though, haven't read any news about potential buyers....

Yeah, that’s fair comment. It’s like I can never understand why £110 million united paid for Pogba is often gets listed as the mere £89 million that Juventus received.

There’s people on here know more than me but the £89m for Pogba was the fee - United had to pay both an agents fee and purchase the players image rights (from the agent) separately so the initial outlay must have been over £120m for Pogba… still he can dance and has a new hairstyle every week. Interestingly United have managed the reported fee in the media so much so that it’s a common belief it was just £89m. Then again Simon Stone knocked a digit off Sanchez Salary every time he wrote an article - by the time he left Sanchez was eligible for Universal Credit.

Indeed mate, ‘common belief’ thanks to their all powerful spin machine

I'd gladly see us pay upto 50% more for Haaland than our top Kane valuation. Paying 50/60/70 million more this season than he would be available for next season would be worth it long term too. this is a guy you just throw everything at to get in your club. All top clubs have to do that every now and again, we haven't done that since kdb nows the time.
