Believe you me mate, the rags and Chelsea will be all over Kane if we decide against it. Both those clubs are in a position to outspend usIt could save £100m to find out. A part of me would prefer investing in these young players as I think it’s more rewarding than splashing out record transfer fees.
If we don’t buy Kane or Grealish then no one else will this summer so if the gamble doesn’t work out then we can look to re engage with them next summer.
I don’t think we would win the league if we did but then the likes of KDB and Sterling would not be happy. KDB just signed a long term contract on the basis we will be the team to beat over the next 3/4 years, he wouldn’t be happy sacrificing a year just so the club could save some money which leads me to think we will get one huge money transfer target over the line.

And yet despite our awfulness we won the premiership, League cup, CL finalists and FA cup semi finalists.
Truly terrible.
The last 2 we threw away with poor team selection.

It's our club mate, and it's a perception. Some of us feel it's more rewarding to give younger players the chance to shine.I don't get this, why worry about what a player will cost, it's not our own money is it?
Like we didn't do with Sancho.
Also for me Kane is a Tottenham legend, we need to find our own, like Sergio etc.

Why trophyless ?If we stuck with them, I fear a trophyless season. Glad our board think differently. Delap has become Shearer/Messi/Aguero before barely kicking a ball for the first team. No pressure kid.
We just nearly won 4 without Aguero.

Two years ago we couldn't find an affordable replacement for Vinnie so we didn't bother.
We make the same mistake again this year, we hand the title straight back to the scousers.

I see Chelsea as our main challengers right now but Dippers with a sorted defence and VAR assistance could go far.Two years ago we couldn't find an affordable replacement for Vinnie so we didn't bother.

We won’t, there’s loads of time left for getting the right players in, we are well run from top to bottom and there’s not many players bought who haven’t improved us in my opinionEven worse, I think we let United in if we don’t sort it.

Back to the thread title, I’d be happy to let Jesus be our main striker for a serious run, he’s got loads of goals and his attitude is terrific in my opinion he will kick on if trusted
