Wheres that jim?
That was taken on the road leading up to Knock Airport, in the west of Ireland, about 15 minutes from my place.Wheres that jim?
My Aunty and Uncle lived on Ullswater Drive in the 60sIf you knew Langley in the 60's and 70's and could see it now its no way the same - sad really. Dad and Mum's family lived on Martindale Cres ( as did Tommy Booth ) - houses gone. I had mates all over the estate in places like Bonscale Crescent, Windemere Road etc and most of the houses are gone. The imperative that brought Mancunians in their droves to the area has been dissipated and the people scattered to new developments.
When you see the sun setting like that, does it make you sad that it's the end of a beautiful day?Deer Hill Reservoir tonight...

It's strange around there with the flatness....looks like Jesus walking on water.
That's actually my 8 year old daughter. But yeah, it's very flat and we had a good 20 minute walk just to get to the water's edge (I think that's classed as high tide in St Anne's!?) and when we got there it was really shallow and warm. It's strange around there with the flatness....looks like Jesus walking on water.
I've got a piccy from a couple of years ago of the sea from the bar on the pier although on finding it, it could be anywhere. That's actually my 8 year old daughter.
