Danny Ings

Year after dark year I saw us sell our best goal scorers. The prospect of this team buying injury prone, bottom to mid-table 28 year olds, soon to be 29 years old in 3 days player Danny Ings would take me back to those years of feeling disappointment and dejected. We all would have probably loved a Danny Ings type player back in the day but, I thought we`d moved on from buying the standard of player who wouldn`t get into a top 6 side. I might of been spoilt in the last decade but I`d prefer our club to attempt to keep on spoiling us rather than not.

Lets hope he's not the new Negrado, incredible for 1/2 a season, injured , gets up to some off field shenanigan's with an undesirable woman and someone's wife at that* and has to leave pronto or face a good hiding.

*allegedly

Not sure Danny is a serial shagger but he has not got a great injury record.
Negredo had a more positive effect on City over half a season than most players we've signed. He raised the roof.
I don’t care what he did off field, that's his own business.
Danny Ings would be no more of a risk than Kane.

FFP , I know its been relaxed somewhat but we still need to play by the rules more than any other club. Remember it was brought in to stop us.

All the more reason to fuck it off. Plenty of those clubs who voted for it are in financial trouble and serves them right. I don’t see why Sheikh Mansour can’t invest in improving a club he’s the majority shareholder of. How is that any different to what Abramovic does?

Having already won the CAS appeal, I’m sure the corrupt wankers who try to stop us would be reticent to go to court again. And there must be someone we could employ to do some creative accounting to bypass this farce.

ffp is absolute bullshit. How can any arbitrary rule that allows an organisation over £400 million in debt to American shareholders to spend with impunity yet somehow obstructs a debt free organisation with a multi-billionaire owner from investing?

Why should we sit and take some made up bollocks rule that only our enemies instigated? Fuck the bastards.

Maybe he isn't at the standard required, but I am pretty sure he would have tucked away many of the chances that Jesus, Sterling and even Aguero were missing in the last couple of seasons.
Yeah, give me Danny Ings over Agüero any day. At least he’s not injur... oh wait he’s that too.

Whilst I agree with every word you have just written unfortunately we are bound by these ridiculous made up rules because we signed up to them as we had absolutely no choice.

This reminds me of the desperate days when we signed Fowler.
We don’t need him.
Iheanocho is as good as Ings and he wasn’t good enough apparently .
If we can make the Kane or Haaland deal work then fair enough.
If not I’d rather go with what we have including Delap.
Gundo scored more then ings last season, plenty of goal scorers in this squad and I’m confident we’ll score our 100+ as per usual .
I assume our buy back clause on Nacho has passed?

I'd be happy to have him back in a flash.

Anyone entertaining the idea of this needs a head wobble

It's so ridiculous it can't be true

Your quite right , he was magnificent BUT for 1/2 a season, so he was not a great signing.

Wowsers, I thought this was one of those times where posters were having a laugh saying it'd be a great signing and showing that famous City humour.
Some are actually being serious though!! Haha!
Hope the suits haven't been at the same Crack pipe as those posters..

I've not watched him closely enough to really call it, but on the face of it with all things considered, I don't think this would be anywhere near as bad a signing as a lot on here are making out.
no issue with the player, but he makes Mendy look healthy.

Good backup player but if you're replacing Jesus with Ings as a backup striker and probably paying more money to do so...then fuck me! Unlikely to happen I'm sure
