so why would a club like man city be after a messi & ronaldo ? it would not be for football reasons
i never understood the messi transfer attempt by city other than shirts and media/image rights

what would manchester city be getting out of a deal for a messi or ronaldo
because we know both players would make the most money out of a deal. man city take would be as little as 5% profit if their was any profit to be made at all from shirts and image rights after the wages handed out

city don't need a statement player anymore we have our own in phil foden ? the lad can reach the heights at manchester city and will grow and grow

Messi got 28 goals and 9 assists in 34 league games last season. He also got 4 goals and 5 assists in the Copa America.

Ronaldo got 29 goals and 3 assists in 33 league games. He also got 5 goals and 1 assist in the Euros.

If these stats are not considered as ‘effective’, I’d love to know what is.

So if we could not get Kane of Haaland for whatever reason you would not take Messi or Ronaldo on a short term deal, 1 yr with an option of a 2nd?

Ronaldo would score goals for fun in this team.

but at a cost and nothing in club football is worth his wages short term ? manchester city are bigger than any player. paying crazy wages for a messi or ronaldo would hurt the club long term

again at what cost did both clubs have to stump up ? both Juventus and barcelona are in a financial mess
 
Would make our cross spamming more effective when we can't break down a defence and would make United fans cry what's not to like

So basically it started with Harry being the fave, then Lewandowski, now Ronaldo so are we to expect Ings now as the fave?

Is he TOO much of a **** for us though ?

His name alone makes my face contort with absolute disgust. Good footballer though
