Harry Kane

This is Haaland we’re talking about .. the same Haaland who wore a City shirt as a kid and who’s Dad played for the club… The lad wants to come alright but we don’t seem to want to bite the bullet and pay the agent’s fee… Very reminiscent of the Hazard situation
Haaland tell you that himself did he? Have you you though that maybe the deal is just too expensive and complicated to complete and maybe our owners think it's better value buying two players rather than one for the same price .

I'll trust our owners judgement thanks. I mean that haven't done that badly in the past 13 years

What I don't get from this tactic from Levy and Sprus is that they keep saying they are not selling but put a price on him in which they will consider.

So which is it then?

Very confusing

Some valid points (aside from the tiresome 'City are financial dopers or as some of us call them, cheats').
Valid points? He thinks Romano is a credible journalist.

Tbf the source they quoted Alasdair gold saying that Kane isn’t for sale is about as reliable as Blackburn is for city.

Not really the point of my point though.

They share anthing that @, # or reference mancity, manchester city without any sense of vetting or reality.

Half the bollocks and negative bullshit on twitter abput is passed on through them and others that share any city story no matter what.

Used to batter my timeline with absolute shite hundreds of times a day so I muted them..

However I never said don't post their stuff just I find it tedious and am free to say so as much as others are free to post their links

How amazing is it that he’ll rock up to their stadium in a City shirt on the opening day of the season in front of fans again. Perfect

Agreed. That's the crux of the matter for a lot of folks who are slightly disappointed (I'll admit to being one of them).

For quite some time it looked like Haaland was the clear target and seemed destined for City. Can't blame people for getting their hopes up for that then feeling a bit deflated with how things are turning out. As a record-smashing transfer Kane is as unexciting as they come (not all of which is his fault) but there's no denying his effectiveness.

There's certainly no doubting Kane's quality from me and we can look forward to real dominance for the rest of Pep's time here. Unfortunately I can only see Haaland ending up at Chelsea or the Rags next summer but hoping to be proved wrong.

Exactly how I feel. I'm fully aware how spoilt it comes across when we're talking about someone who could quite easily break Shearer's record but the heart wants what the heart wants and I maintain that there are also more rational reasons for preferring Haaland.

Anyway, it's also worth mentioning that I was similarly underwhelmed by the Walker signing for some of the same reasons and I don't think that one could have panned out any better.

One thing that I keep coming back to is the comments at the end of the season from Levy - to paraphrase he basically said that Spurs were the most in debt club in Europe and needed to generate any funds in order to make new signings ( this down to new stadium / COViD )……So someone has to leave Spurs. And Kane ( arguably Son ) is the most saleable asset.
