I'd guess Harris needs the money as his Sporting Intelligence company is dormant. It may also be that he's been put up to it by the usual suspects. The Mail aren't going to cast a critical eye over this, in the way that me and others have. They don't know FFP from shit but they think Harris does. All they see is clicks from Liverpool & United fans and we know the lengths they'll go to to get those. No one else has touched this, whereas normally they'd be all over an "exclusive", rehashing it for their own papers. Yet nada, which tells me that every other so-called "quality" paper sees this as embarrassing nonsense. The Mail, sadly, isn't capable of embarrassment.

The only worry I've got over this is that our US-owned friends are using the same tactics that have served them so well over the years at UEFA. Threaten a breakaway to get what you want. That tactic got us the 2-season ban in the first place after all. And the clubs have shown that the threat is real, following the abortive Super League announcement. The lines are drawn in that battle now and any future breakaway effectively means the end of the PL as a major sporting competition and commercial entity.

We already know that FSG are not just amoral, but totally immoral. The Glazers are just plain dumb and will go along with whatever John Henry tells them. So it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if their grubby prints were all over this and that's the reason we started the legal fight, complaining about impartiality and handing over documents, which we knew would fall straight into the hands of our enemies.

It used to be that we criticized the media because their editorials replaced the actual news. I suspect that they are now up for hire to print or report whatever any generous sponsor may need to publicise.

We already get sins of omission (joint PL and City request reported as only City) so perhaps representing adverts as actual news is the media's way forward?

I didn’t know about United’s action against the Sun, but it’s certainly another piece of a jigsaw that you don’t need the picture on the box to complete.
The Premier League’s investigatory process comes without the safety net (for those charged) of recourse to an independent appeals body like CAS, and any approach to the High Courts would be on very limited grounds (as I understand it). The PL’s own disciplinary process then is pretty much it, which leaves us back where we started. At the mercy of an organisation that is in thrall to our immediate rivals. Masters, the PL CEO, was given the seal of approval by United and Liverpool when he was appointed. He is “their” man and they will be leaning heavily on him to take the kind of action that ordinarily the PL wouldn’t touch. We’ve got zero chance of a fair hearing IMO and I’ll be very surprised - regardless of how monumentally shite the “evidence” is - if they don’t charge us with whatever trumped up bollocks they can dream up.
FSG and the Glazers aim (and FSG in particular) is what it always has been. The total destruction of our club. They’re absolute cnuts and City fans need to disavow themselves of the notion that Harris is a “crank” and that his accusations are “weak”, because they are merely a pretext for others to take action. I hope we have sufficient leverage of our own to dissuade the PL from embarking down that path

I just don't see if this case was started over two years ago, on the back of UEFA's case and they are are still going on about accounts 10 years ago etc, that we have a case to answer.

I would imagine that CAS got to see ALL the evidence and surely the PL don't have any different evidence than what UEFA had. If they did why with-hold it from UEFA at that time?
The PL case would be a lot easier if we had already had the two year ban upheld and i would think that UEFA would be pretty pissed off if new evidence surfaces now.
